Thought the same thing against BR's boys yet the Lakers "heroically" put together a 16-0 run. I don't think that was all tanking. Game should be done now tho.

The 2012-13 Los Angeles Lakers are, without a doubt, the greatest garbage time team of all time. This is about the 20th time this season where they went on a meaningless run in the second half of the 4th quarter to make the final score look respectable and give themselves yet another moral victory.
You're kidding me right? They wouldn't chant beat SA because Warriors-Spurs isnt a rivalry, especially an in-state rivalry like Warriors-Lakers. That, and NO ONE has ever chanted beat SA, beat LA has been a chant for decades now...

Warriors are still young with an ability to choke, plus they have a black coach. Doesn't help LA could've gotten 10 ft in a 2 min span or something just as ridiculous.

I can get Golden State doing a hack a foul when they're up big against a championship or playoff team. But against the Lakers... makes no sense.

But Beat LA is a great chant that shows where other teams hold us ...
that's more of northern Cali thumbing their nose at Southern Cali. plus everyone loves to on the Lakers, it's like ting on the Yankees. maybe it's respect, or maybe it's because you guys simply outspend everyone so it's a David vs Goliath thing.

Dont be dense. I was referring to the fact that we get that cant in Boston, Utah, Gstate and Sacto ...plus a few other random cities. You guys won 4 championships and are respected but it is different. When the fans hate you want to beat you even when we suck. The Lakers matters always. When SA sucks in (the post Duncan era) no one will give a about whether they beat the Spurs ... and im not talking ...just stating facts.

I spend time watching a sport I love ...sure we dont always play well ...
