I think that's half the reason he made the statement. That and the Warriors next six games are against teams currently under .500, though Utah is only one game back of that mark and could still be fighting for the 8 slot. They're a young team, this was a win they needed against a high profile opponent. The timing is such that this is the last chance to seize on something like that and get some confidence and momentum going against for the last stretch of the season.
