yep. boy, did KRS-One hate white people![]()
Ice-T was the person who created west coast hardcore hip-hop, dropping 6 in the Morning back when Cube was biting the Beastie Boys' style in CIA and Dre was turning off the lights with the World Class Wreckin Cru. Ice was the trailblazer for that style (and also the best ever at it).

De La is great live. Last time I saw them Maseo Dj'ed the opening acts, did a 20 minute Tribe mix, then the rest of them came on and played.
I can't find it anywhere but I remember hearing an old mix Dre did in his Wreckin' Crew days. So mint. All I can find is a youtube mix which I know isn't the right one.
Dre gets dissed a lot for his Wreckin Cru (he even badmouths it himself), but it's not bad.
Hated 'em so much he sold out and did that horrible track with R.E.M.
Toss up. But then again, I don't fully appreciate this art form.
why not?
He's probably a Republican. Like the kind that questions Obamas birth certificate

I've never really liked NWA for some reason, tbh.... it's Wu-Tang forever.... better rhymes, better beats, better albums, more longevity....

I dont have his whole whack ass album.........
I just like "my 64"
Wu. I love NWA but you're not ing with 36 Chambers, Liquid Swords, OB4CL, Ironman, Supreme Clientele, Tical, Return to 36 chambers.
lol man i was never a fan of dude. i was loyal to the screwed up clique, so outside of slim thug i didn't with anybody on swishahouse. once the entire city of houston turned their back on him and called him " jones" it was a wrap for him. last i heard he caught aids and lost about 200 pounds smh.
Glad there are plenty of rap fans here - both good groups.. dunno who I like more. Part of me agrees with Trill about NWA and first controversial rap group etc etc but wu tang cool too. I can understand if rap isn't your thing but people who say there are no skill in it and they rap about stupid things.. ing hate that
What makes this close is NWA only had two great years together. 1987 there was Eazy Duz It (most underrated hip hop album ever), NWA & the Posse (which was great except for the wack Fila Fresh Crew garbage; thank god DOC left them), and then Straight Outta Compton in 88, and that was it for their prime.
I don't think they released anything in 89 when Cube told Jerry er to gfy, and 100 Miles in 90 was nice but but it was only like 4 songs and only 3 were good (the tha Police Part 2 wasn't anywhere near as good as the original). z4Life probably wasn't as good as Straight Outta Compton nor even 100 Miles, though the Intro, Always into Something, z4Life, Appe e for Destruction, and One Less were classics. Lotta complete throwaways on that album too though, like Automobile, Findum em & Flee, Approach to Danger, etc.
Too $hort said Cube was done after he opened for them. He saw Shorty the Pimp rolling out in a Mercedes after shows not having to split money with anyone and making more than him to boot![]()
It's probably good he did, since NWA got stale after Straight Outta Compton. Meanwhile that collaboration Cube did with the Bomb Squad on his debut was incredible, and Sir Jinx's beats on his later albums were way better than what Dre was doing. Too bad Eazy's solos were after the group split; I was always expecting him to put out another classic like Eazy Duz It, but 5150 and It's On Dre were for the most part weak.
Where's Masta Ace & Kool Keith??
