What do you mean??? This is spurstalk, where every game is over analyzed.
The Hornets are the 2nd worst team in the west. We lost to Houston by 1. The Rockets are the 7th seed at this point. So I wouldn't read too much into the Houston loss. I think Denver benefits by not having the streak anymore, but time will tell if Miami uses up too much energy keeping their streak alive. Yes, some games are just not that important during this point in the season.

go downstairs for once... christ
Kinda sucks for us, since they'll be motivated after an awful loss.
Take look at the garbage, bottom-dwelling teams the Spurs have lost to this season, then add in the poorly played ugly wins.
At this point it's just about getting to the post season and putting it together there, we've all seen proof over the years that you can have a great run in the regular season and fall flat in the playoffs. Streaks are far less important than 4-4-4
I think the Hornets might have softened up the Nuggets for us. They were probably looking past them at us.
If there's still no Ty Lawson the Spurs should have an easier time against the Nuggets...
A.Miller...
Nuggets in last 16 games: 15-1
Spurs in last 16 games: 11-5
Don't read too much into the Houston game because Denver lost by 24 to the Hornets? I'm not sure what one has to do with the other. Denver is a sub .500 team on the road this year so a road loss shouldn't surprise anyone. But for the record, the Spurs lost to the Hornets in New Orleans too and it wouldn't shock me to see the Heat lose there also. think a more fair comparison would be losing to a severely depleted T-wolves team in Minnesota by, you guesed it, 24. Even without Tony, that game should have been a cake walk. I won't even bring up the Portland game because I'm pretty sure Denver hasn't taken a licking like that at home this year.
Queue the Tony Parker was injured responses.
Why do you post on a Spurs board with any regularity? Is there something I'm missing here?
So I guess that doesn't matter? Pretty bad take.
Why is your user name Dejuanorwhatdude? Were all the good ones taken? Why is the Sky blue? Why are the clouds white? Why does it take you two posts to construct four short sentences? Padding your post count won't get you bolded any faster if that's what you're thinking.

If Manu continues to play this way the Spurs will have to win in spite of him and that's a hard task to accomplish when Pop will continue to give him minutes. It's not a switch, he needs to get it together or there is trouble.
Tony Parker wasn't injured for all of them, particularly the one people shouldn't read too much into.
This. Miller's the heart and soul of that team.
That's because the scope of the problem goes beyond Tony Parker. It even goes beyond the win/losss record for that matter. Too many players are underperforming while others are consistently inconsistent. The spurs live and die by the jumpshot and that's no way to win a championship. It's also the tale of two units, the first of which gets the Spurs off to a bangin start. The second of Which allows the opponent right back in the game. They're very fortunate to be in the position they're in, vying for the one seed in a stacked western conference given the way they've played the last 1.5 months of the season. The Spurs are struggling to close out games, blowing 4th quarter leads with regularity, struggling for consistency on the defensive end, can't find a constant flow on the offensive end, plagued by careless turnovers, questionable and somewhat dubious shot selection at times, lack of congruity and cohesion from the second unit and puzzling rotations here and there that even have the most experienced scratching their head. I'm not one to make excuses, but that's a lot of things to hammer out with less than a month remaining in the regular season. The record is meaningless at this point ( see 2011 and 2012) They need to be playing better than everyone else and it's a cause for concern that they're not.
Much better lol.
Hoops Czar = Coach Popovich. I finally figured it out. My life is complete. I'm going to go watch reruns of Beavis & Butthead, but first I gotta poop.
Nuggets got caught looking ahead to Spurs, imo
Payback for the first round of the 2009 playoffs tbh
