HornsNation had a great update on Daniel Gresham. He is done doing interviews for a while. The coaches has said that he has not lost his offer, but that they were 'disappointed'. He refused to say what they (he and the staff) discussed. He is done taking visits and wants to 'law low' so he doesn't cause any further problems. He stills says he is a strong commitment. Finally, him and Knox will be in Austin for the Spring Game.

Update on 2015 DT Daylon Mack of Gladewater (the first offer of the 2015 class) from 24/7:

“I can’t wait for the visit,”
said Mack. “I’m really excited to be visiting my childhood favorite. They (Texas) were my team growing up. I’ll be coming in on Friday before the game to look around with my mom, dad and brother. We’ll spend the whole weekend in Austin before heading back on Sunday.”

“I am going to be looking for a place that I can really envision myself at,” explained Mack. “I want to meet the entire coaching staff and get to know them better. I’m really looking forward to hanging out with Coach (Bo) Davis and just talk about the defensive line with him. I’m pretty excited to get to know all the coaches and find out more about them. I’m also ready to check out Texas’ top notch facilities, because I know they have some of the best around."

“I also want to see how the team gets along,” Mack added. “I want to see how they act and see what type of family they are together. Of course I want to see them wrecking it on defense as well.”

I wouldn’t commit this early,” Mack said. “I feel like I’ll probably make a commitment sometime after my junior season.”

“It’s definitely Texas A&M and Texas. Texas A&M is leading right now, but I am real excited to get to visit another top tier school to compare them to,” he said. “I really am ready to get up to Texas and check it out. I haven’t been to any other colleges yet, so everything could change.”

“I grew up a Longhorn fan so I feel like that could definitely be an advantage for them,” he told Hookem.com. “That’s the team I have always loved. I’ve always been a big fan. A&M has great compe ion with them playing in the best conference, and I want to be challenged when I get to college, but Texas has always been special to me.”

WR Amanti Foreman of Texas City will make his third visit to Austin this weekend for the spring game. He recaps his unofficial to UT last Saturday (OrangeBloods):

"We have a sop re, D'Vonta Hinton, on my team that is just getting his name out there, and Texas heard about him and wanted him to come," Foreman said. "So since we went to the same school, they wanted us to come with him to see them again and see the school again."

"Basically, we did everything we did for the Junior Day,"
Foreman said. "So I got to talk to coach Darrell Wyatt a lot. I talked to Mack Brown when he found out I was there and his wife. I talked to Major Applewhite after the day was ending. I talked to him a while. I talked to everyone … they knew who I was. They remembered me from last visit."

    "They were good conversations,"
stated the Oklahoma commitment. "Just talking about how I fit in and that they really want me and not to count them out. They know it's hard for me because my brother doesn't have the same offer but they were going to try to find a way. Telling me about the receiver spot and that they only have so many and they're going to need a whole lot more in the new offense. And that some of those receivers are leaving and they needed me to come in and hop in there and play. They were telling me about all the commitments and they still want me and that I have a good chance at playing early. I was really considering that. I'm still committed to OU but I'm still looking."

"Basically, they just told me they knew I wanted to play with him,"
said Foreman about the Texas coaches and his brother. "They were telling me they were trying to figure something out. They know he's a great athlete. The two positions he does play - running back and linebacker - they're stacked at. I don't know if they're going to look at him at another position. That's what we're waiting to see. I'm basically more interested in what's going on with my brother than me to be honest. I really want to play with my brother. OU has been telling me since day one they've been looking at my brother. It depends on what school comes with the first offer. If it was a lower school, I wouldn't consider it. But if it was another school I could go to or felt comfortable at, I'd definitely consider it."

"Honestly, I didn't know that they (Texas) were that low at receiver the first time I went,"
the Houston-area prospect said. "While we were eating, coach Wyatt came to talk to me and was just telling me. Now, I understand. He was talking to me about offense and how I would fit in it. That's what really stood out to me the most. They told me the last time I went there for junior day that they don't have that many receivers. I think they only had five scholarship guys that were practicing on Saturday. [db]Mike Davis[/db] will be graduated by the time I get there and Jaxon (Shipley) will be a senior. They're really not that deep at receiver. They had always told me that I would play early in the spread offense and I'd be surrounded by a lot of talent there. I liked watching coach Wyatt … how he coaches and interacts with the players at practice. He's like the same person every time, never too high or too low. He's the same every time and that's what I like about him. Whatever is going on in a game or in practice I feel like he's going to be the same."

    "Yes,"
responded Foreman when asked if the addition visit to Texas improved its status in his eyes. "Every time I [go] up there it catches my eye. I really like the campus and how the players interact. Basically, I'm just waiting to see what happens with my brother. If they (Texas) offered my brother, it would be looking real great for them. I don't know what they're going to do. OU is still my number one school and I'm committed to OU but I am looking around."

Inside Texas spoke with 2015 ATH Blake Lynch of Troup recently and he says he'll commit to Texas on the spot if offered. He's a really nice prospect but it's a bit difficult to tell where he'd fit in at the moment since he's so young.

RB Donald Catalon will be in Austin this weekend for Texas' spring game (24/7):

“I’m actually going to be going with a few of my teammates,” Catalon explained. “They will be running in the Texas Relays, so they’re going to go with me. They should already be in town, but I think I will come up to Austin on Saturday morning and may stay until Sunday. I don’t really know my exact plans yet, just that I will be there with them.”

“Coach Applewhite has talked to me about the offense and it sounds really good to me,” said Catalon. “I know they are trying to have a more fast-paced offense, sort of like Oregon’s or someone like that. I think I’m really going to like it. Scoring faster is always a good thing and that’s what he plans to do. It sounds perfect for me.”

“I don’t plan on visiting other schools at all,” he told Hookem.com. “I don’t want to anymore. I’ve spoken with the coaches and am very happy with my decision. I have received a lot of hand written letters from schools like USC and TCU trying to recruit me, but I don’t even pay attention to them. I am 100-percent committed to Texas and I don’t plan to change that.”

“I feel better but there’s still a little pain in it (foot),” Catalon said. “I’m not sure how much longer until I’m released, but they said when there’s no soreness after therapy, they will release me. I’m going every day to rehab and then I go see my doctor once a week. I’m getting better though. I plan to be ready for 7-on-7 when it starts soon. I know I’ll be healthy by then.”

2015 DE James Lockhart of Ennis talks about his Texas offer (OrangeBloods):

"They (Texas) got in contact with my grandfather. They can't actually call me, but they said they're going to go ahead an offer me a scholarship and they want me to attend the spring game this Saturday," Lockhart said.

"I thought it was crazy finding out this weekend that Texas offered," Lockhart said. "Baylor is a good school and I like it, but if I had to choose a school right now I would choose Texas. It's a bigger school, and I've been a Longhorn fans since fifth or sixth grade."

"Just growing up watching Vince Young play, that kind of set it off,"
Lockhart said. "Plus my family is big into sports and my dad really likes the Longhorns. And Mack Brown is really good coach too. It's just a great program."

"I'm taking things slow right now. I don't plan on committing to anybody to until my senior year. I just want to soak it up, see what my options are. I don't want to commit to anyone right now, be stuck with one school,"
Lockhart said. "Don't get me wrong, Texas is probably one of best schools in the nation, but I just want to take it slowly and soak it up."

"I just want to see the facilities, walk through the facilities. meet the coaches and players, watch their drills, see what they bring to the table," Lockhart said. "I want to see how seriously they take it, if they practice like a game, just learn, take mental reps."

"From what my coaches told me, they said I'm a big kid with good size. I think what some coaches, if they haven't seen me before the camp, I thought I brought good quickness, I get off the ball fast, get off the line fast. I've got decent speed for my size and my age."

Quotes from TE/OL Koda Martin of Manvel after his unofficial visit to UT (24/7). He plans on making a decision in the spring:

“Texas is a great school,” said Martin. “It was a good trip overall. [Texas and Texas A&M] are both different so it’s hard to compare them. A&M was nuts and getting to see Texas was good, too. Mack Brown is a really genuine person. I enjoyed being around him and his coaching staff also. Texas has some guys on their team that have strong faith. David Ash, Jaxon Shipley, and Josh Cochran are strong Christians.”

“I do feel a little more comfortable about Texas now that I took this trip,” he said. “They’re definitely a school that I would add to my top two schools.”

“It was awesome,” Martin said. “A&M really did a great job showing me what their program is like and what it would be like to hang out with their guys. I got to hang out with the Matthews boys and Cedric Ogbuehi. I ate with them and talked with them about Coach Anderson and his coaching style. They love going to school there and they’re looking forward to next year. Those guys are really good guys, who I like to be around, and the Matthews boys are involved with FCA. That’s important to me.”

“They’re (A&M) definitely one of my top options for me right now. This trip was eye-opening for me,”
    he explained.

“I have a lot of great options on the table so wherever I go is going to be a great place,” said Martin. “I can’t really go to a bad program.”

Update on S Steven Parker of Jenks, OK after his unofficial visit to UT on Saturday (OrangeBloods):

"I got to talk to Mack Brown about that. It was definitely an offer. I talked to coach (Duane) Akina and Mack Brown about it, they told me what they liked about me," Parker said. "They liked how tall I was, that I can kind of play corner and safety. They said they really want me there."

"One of the highlights was ... seeing how they go. They ran an up-tempo practice and they're an up-tempo team,"
Parker said. "It was also kind of cool to see coach Akina interact. That was the highlight, talking to coach Akina, talking to Mack Brown one-on-one. They told me they're DBu because they produce a lot of NFL talent. They showed me the money wall, kind of showed me the highlights about it. It was pretty cool."

"They were both great visits. I got to meet both head coaches and DB coaches,"
Parker said. "The difference was, I got to stay and watch Texas practice. I didn't get to see A&M practice because they were off that day."

"I know I'm going to try to visit some places this summer. Probably after my summer visits, that's when I'll start narrowing it down, probably make a top five,"
Parker said. "I'm looking forward to committing probably before the season just so I can take most of the stress off my senior year. We'll see how it plays out."

"They said they'd really like me to come to their football camp, have coach Akina work with me, get a better evaluation as a person," Parker said. "They also wanted me to try to make a football game. I'll just have to see how that goes and how much time I have."

"I would probably say they're up there, just because they produce a lot of talent that goes to the NFL,"
Parker said. "But it's not even just about the NFL. They have great academics, they have a great academic center to get my studies in, find a tutor. I think they're up there."

Quotes from 2015 OL Zach Rogers of Carrollton Hebron after receiving his Texas offer (24/7):

“Today when I was in school, my head coach pulled me to the side and told me that Texas had called him and wanted me to get in touch with them,” he explained. “So I called them just now and talked to Coach (Darrell) Wyatt. He said that they have watched my tape a few times since last Saturday and they were really impressed and liked what they saw. That’s when he told me that they have offered me a scholarship.”

“After I talked to Coach Wyatt, I then spoke with Coach (Stacey) Searels. He basically said what Coach Wyatt said and he told me he really liked me. He said he loves my film,” Rogers added.

“Growing up in Texas you have to pay attention to the Longhorns,” Rogers told Hookem.com. “I’ve obviously heard a lot about Texas. They have great tradition and a great program. Everything there is top notch and I enjoyed myself on my visit last weekend. I think they are headed in the right direction with their football program.”

“Now that they have offered me I plan on making it back down,”
said Rogers. “I’m going to talk to my parents and see when we can get down there. I know I’ll definitely be back, I just don’t know when yet.”

“I don’t have any favorites,” Rogers explained. “Every school that I’m in contact with is even. I’m just taking everything in and looking at every opportunity. I want to give everyone a chance. I don’t know who I like the most right now, but Texas is up there with everyone else.”

“I’m in no rush to make a decision,” he said. “I think, ideally, I would like to make one before my senior season. That way I could have it over with and enjoy my last year of football in high school. So it will come then or before then for sure.”

Update on LB Reggie Long of Whitehouse who was invited the spring game recently (24/7). I hear this guy has all the intangibles (hard worker, great personality, good grades, etc.) but I just don't think he's an offer type. We'll see how Texas handles this one since it's evident he'd commit right away.

“It was kind of a shock when they invited me down for the game,” said Long. “I've talked to Coach (Manny) Diaz and he said they like my film. To hear Coach Mack Brown say he likes your film is big, so I'm very anxious and excited about going on the Texas visit.”

“I was shocked because, up to that point, I hadn’t heard from them,” said Long. “So I reached out to Coach Diaz on Twitter and it was indeed an invite and they were excited to have me down. I’m just very excited to start hearing from them!”

“The leadership there stands out to me the most,” Long explained. “You get to learn from some of the best football coaches around. I also like that Texas gets a lot of football players in the NFL. They have a ton of success with that at every position. But most importantly the education is also a big deal. Texas is one of the best schools on the world when it comes to getting an education. If I attended Texas, I know I would have a job after my college career was over if I wasn’t able to go pro.”

“Right now I have a top three,” he told Hookem.com. “It is Texas, then Texas Tech, and then Mississippi State. It’s in that order.”

“Man if Texas Longhorns offered me I wouldn’t be able to sleep for weeks. I would be so excited and it would be a dream come true,” he added.

“Some people think I’m 5-foot-11 or small,” Long said. “Regardless I feel like I am the best linebacker in Texas. I am a player with an eye for the ball. I hit tenaciously. I'm relentless and would do anything for my team. To me, size doesn't matter. Its football and when I step on the field I am there to win. I’m relentless.”

Quotes from 2015 DT Devonte Lampkin of Cypress Falls after attending Texas' Sop re Day (HornsNation):

“That would be pretty amazing,” he said. “My mind is set on Texas. If they offer, I would probably wait until the middle of my junior year, but I would commit.”

“I kind of got used to it after the first two or three games (playing behind a senior), but yeah, it kind of hurt a little bit,” he said. “I was anxious to get on the field. It was pretty nice to win, and at least I can say I helped out the team a little bit.”

“He (Bo Davis) told me that he’s going to come to my spring practice, and he should be able to offer me then,”
Lampkin said. “He told me he liked my film, but he wants to wait until the first time he sees me in spring.”

“It (Texas' practice) was kind of intense. But at the same time they made it look easy, which I know it’s not because they’re a lot stronger and more powerful,”
he said. “It seemed like they were quicker on their feet than we are in high school.”

DE Jake McMillon of Abilene will be in Austin this weekend for Texas' spring game. His mother was unable to attend the Junior Day in February because she was recovering from surgery, but she'll be in town this time. Sounds like he's ready to commit. Quotes from HornsNation:

“This has been little stressful at times, but it’s been fun and I’m just trying to enjoy it and take it all in,” he said.

“I don’t have anything planned after Texas,” he said. “I’m looking to make a pretty decision pretty quick. I’ve just got to be 100-percent sure I’m doing what’s the best fit for me.”

“It’s very important. It’s a real big decision for me, so I want to see what mom has to say about it,”
McMillon said. “It’s going to help me out with the decision to see what she thinks about it.”

“We’ve been in touch a little before, but getting that offer from the University of Texas is pretty crazy,”
he said. “When a school like that offers you, of course other opportunities will come up. But I want to decide pretty soon what I’m going to do.”

“I see him (Lorenzo Joe) around sometimes,”
McMillon said. “Lorenzo is a great guy and I like hanging around him.”

“I got offered by them a couple weeks back,” McMillon said. “It’s nice that I’ve had a few family members play there. TCU is a great school. TCU and Texas are both great places to be.”

“I’m just trying to feel things out and make sure I’m going to the place that’s the best fit for me,”
    he said.

“I’m not really leaning one way," he said. "I’m just going to go check out Texas again and then make my decision afterwards. I’m just going to see how it goes, but that’s what I’m hoping for.”

I was hoping if the kid ever visited UT it would stay a secret, but RB Leonard Fournette of New Orleans, LA (arguably the #1 prospect in the nation) is on UT's campus today. It's specifially a football visit; he didn't come just to hang out at Texas Relays. No word on how long he'll be in town.
