There was a point when getting a draw from The Azteca was a miracle. Park the bus on your side of the field now and youre almost guaranteed a draw, might even get a win if you get lucky with a counterattack. So sad how much theyve fallen off tbh.![]()
Mexico
can't beat the ty US soccer team on their own home field
can't drink their own tap water
can't flush their toilet paper
can't do when abuelita gets kidnapped
getting shaken down by la policia constantly for bribes
rest of North America prosperous, but they're still stuck in the 3rd world
Team USA going Cortez on Mexico in the World Cup
all the illegals 10x more pissed off than they were on si se puede day
You sure love you some jeebus bro. Every time I mention how unfunny he is youre there without fail to suck him off tbh.![]()
This cracks me up every time tbh. My mom and aunts still put up a trash can for toilet paper in the restroom cause theyre used to the Mexican plumbing...the first time I had American friends come to my house they were like wtf.
I'm still pretty disheartened about our team. Sure, the result was great and that is important right now,but truly good teams don't just play like USA did. The first half was horrific, second half was a little cleaner, but they aren't good enough to just play their game and beat teams - they rely on trash and gimmicks at the moment which seems like a big step backwards.
I was hoping Mexico would win, oh well better luck next time...
Id be thrilled if I was a USA NT fan tbh. No hate or anything but its a pretty limited team talent wise, especially in the skill positions. Its basically Dempsey, Bradley, Howard (who was out today) and a bunch of MLS caliber players. Right now their best bet against better teams is to do what they did today and pack the bus on their side, take the draw or maybe get lucky with a counterattack.
That's my point. There was a time in the recent years where USA was ranked near the top 10. They have taken a step backwards and that is unacceptable.
Meh cant expect to produce consistent talent when its the 4th-5th most popular sport. Their strategy was aimed at getting a draw and they achieved that. I understand that its not a good sign for soccer in the USA in the grand scheme of things, but if were being realistic about this teams potential...it was a great result for today.
holding be@ners to a draw is worth exact as much boast as being a mexican tbh. mexico might have a better soccer team than US and a draw ain't a bad result for the US of A but it's not like there're many americans who give a flying about any soccer games tbh.
When nil-nil in a sporting event is considered a "win," we all lose.
mexico should be banned from soccer for their pathenicness
Didnt aztecs play some kind of soccer back in their golden age?
they can execute 7 people and arrange them in chairs on d highway. But they cannot score against usa at home![]()
Mexico has only lost at the Azteca one time during qualifiers all-time. The USA had gotten one draw there during qualifiers prior to today and lost every other single time. Even during their golden era during 02-06 the USA was still losing at the Azteca. You guys are underselling how good this draw was imo, especially for a team with limited talent.
Nice call, tbh.
The reason I don't like soccer is not because it's boring, but growing up I knew that the best compe ion was overseas and not here. When you're only exposed to subpar play you don't get too interested which is why I get into the World Cup but not the MLS or w/e it's called.

That's the palestinian playing their #1 sport: trowing stones to the israelis.
Remember when you told me getting a positive result at the Azteca was a difficult task for the opposing team? I think it's pretty safe to say stadiums aren't a protection shield for hometown teams.
^^^^ the truth^^^^
If you think about it, it's the lane restrictions for the 3 second rule. Offsides and 3 second rule are kind of related in that they restrict an offensive player from gaining an advantage by camping.
It was true prior to this hexagonal tbh.![]()
