The NBA has released a statement that a foul should have been called on Kobe Bryant in the final seconds of the Los Angeles Lakers' 120-117 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.
Bryant made contact with Ricky Rubio on a last-second three-point attempt that could have tied the game.
"Video review by the league office confirmed that Kobe Bryant fouled Rubio while Rubio was in his shooting motion," the league said on its website. "Rubio should have been awarded three free throws."

LOL, why would a Laker fan ever need to play the officiating card?

Why do they even bother with these apologies? Doesn't change .

Is it so hard for them to just get calls right during the game itself?

I have to agree with Citizen, apologies are meaningless. The NBA only gives out apologies to make the higher ups feel better about themselves and to show the public that "the NBA cares". How about some damn replays and do-overs? If a call like that happens in the last minute of the game, it should be reviewable. No excuses, no ifs, ands, or buts.

2000-2002 should be * as Kirby was carried by Robert Horry. Horry then had the chance to see if he was good enough to be a Spur and the rest is history.

It's pretty stupid that refs can't call fouls when they see it in the review tbh

Just like clockwork. The MN announcer was right...the official didn't have the guts to call that on Kobe...and that's what wrong with the NBA in a nuts . Too much agenda drivin influences rather than letting the game play out as it should.

Then people wonder why players flop so much. Like all the NBA talking heads said, "Barry didn't sell the foul enough." But then turn around and complain about guys flopping. Actually I take that back. Vlade wasn't in the slightest called out for flopping until he left LA and joined the Kings.
