Wade. Pippen couldn't shoot for and as much as everyone slurps his d he couldn't stay in front of most point guards today unlike other great perimeter defenders

Don't think Wade has surpassed Pipsqueak yet.
Kirby to Joey Crawford is another one.

kobe of 00-02 deserves a nomination imho. there ain't many teams in NBA history who could win 3 les in a row. kobe always had the desire to replace shaq as the #1 while playing as a 2nd banana next to him on the triple crown team, and he eventually did it in 04. shaq's prime was gradually trickling away after his departure from kobe, though he still managed to win another ring in 06

Kobe was ballin especially in the 01 & 02 playoffs. Shaq daddy was all world in the finals putting up video game numbers ala what Lebron is doing at the moment.

Pippen is still the greatest sidekick of all time. Kobe & Wade are more like 1A's tbh.

Though Gasol couldn't win a single playoff game till Kobe took him in & Kobe sent Daddy into his retirement on the ass end of 5-4.

    Good morning, Arizona!!!

    Comparing him as a sidekick:

    Kobme/Bob Delaney 2002
    Kobme/Joey Crawford 09 10
    is a tough call.

Just shows how versatile Knobbie has been over his karear.

    Boiled down:::

If we are talking career wise, then it is still Pippen. He did pretty well for himself that first year without Jordan after his first retirement as well. If we are talking any one year, I'd take Kobe in 2001. As much as I hate the Lakers, him and Shaq were possibly the best 1-2 punch ever that year. Games 3 and 4 from the Conference Finals still give me nightmares.

^& without Kobe in '00, I ain't at 5-4 Kobe over the bag Duncan. Media woulda ate Daddy alive. Then they'd a come after Bryant. He'd a survived, but, not Shaq.

And I wouldn't be here right now.

It's like a gd Twilight Zone episode.

Kobe was a terrible sidekick in 04, all good sidekicks should know their place, instead he tried to take over and became the only player in NBA history to chuck his team out of the finals. Kobe is a Westrbrick type player.

Though without him in '10 I ain't got:::

    Kobe: 5

the tired old bag Duncan: 4

Your Kobe woulda launched that from the top of the key. My Kobe shoveled it Artest and he put one right behind Pierce's ear...BOOM! Just like that.

Wade is a better basketball player, but as of now, Pippen was the better sidekick. That could change, but it would be tough to find a sidekick much better than Pippen. He pretty much did everything you would want a sidekick to do (short of being a proficient 3pt shooter).
