It implies insider information, that's it. I don't think that's too impossible of a prediction given how much money is involved in this. They have the ability to adjust spreads to change how the public bets, but occasionally you'll the lines keep moving in the other way trying to get a heavily public backed team to get even more of the public's money.

The line even moved from -1.5 to 1 back to 1.5. Why would they do that if they're interested in 50-50 betting for this game?
