There's plenty of reasons to hate the Thunderefs: their unlikeable players (Durant, Westbrick, Ibaka, Perkins, Fisher), their free throw dependency to win games, their toothless, bandwagon, meth-addicted fanbase....

Why would we play someone who can't shoot at "shooting guard"? Besides, if we wanted some creativty and playmaking from our starting sg, we've already got someone who'd fit the mold: Manu!
That's a myth, he's shooting pretty well since he adapted to the nba, he's shooting 41% from 3 overall and that takes into account his horrible start, how can you say that he can't shoot. What he can't/shouldn't do is guard PGs imo.

The only argument for Green is the irrational love he gets from Pop and his erratic defense that's mostly overrated. Besides playing De Colo SG would open up time for Cojo at PG, making the defense just as good imo overall.

Going to my first game in OKC tonight, any other Spurs fans been there? Wear your Spurs gear? Curious how the treatment is, will be with wife.
Man I live here and go to a lot of games. Ive honestly never seen any opposing fans catching any . Like any other arena, I'm sure there's a bad apple or two, but we're pretty respectful fans to be honest. People can show up in their James or Bryant jerseys and enjoy the game in peace, from what I've seen anyways.

Right on, thanks for the insight man. I plan on wearing my Spurs gear but I'm not really the type of fan who brings upon myself by going on and on and on.

This is quite possibly the most important game of the season for the entire NBA. Either team who wins could essentially be causing their NBA Finals berth by winning. Definitely not going to miss a minute of this game tonight.

No to both of the bolded. Green is far better than De Colo, who needs less playing time, not more. Green won't allow us to move up very far in the draft, and who we'd pull back will likely be worse. Not even a lateral move, it'd be a negative.
Far better at what? Also we don't need to move up a lot to have a chance at a good international player.

De Colo only ever shoots from long distance if he's wide open. He's not what you'd expect from the prototypical elite NBA shooting guards; someone who doesn't lack the confidence to hit big shots, who can shoot coming off screens and on the move, and can shoot even when given the smallest of space between himself and the defender. Both Green and Neal would better fit that role, imo.

De Colo shpuld be played in the position that he feels most comfortable with: pg. Setting plays for others is what he does best.

Yeah I'm sure he feels more comfortable running after point guards...

Pop has the best passing team in the nba but he won't go all the way and make it as great as it can be, as great as it needs to be to make any impact. Too rigid. Guardiola>Pop.

Actually the only issue that Ive personally seen did involve a Spurs fan, but really it was the Spurs fan causing the problem. It was actually a woman and she was drinking and standing up and cursing. This was year before last. Finally a guy had enough and asked the lady to sit down. She was throwing out the F bomb and just carrying on. So she turns around and cusses the guy, etc etc. Finally security came and told her to behave. 98% of people in that arena aren't going to think anything of someone with a Spurs jersey on cheering on the spurs. It's probable you'll sit by people who will chat it up with you, etc as long as you're not a bag fan like the lady mentioned above, which I'm sure you're not. There's actually a lot of very nice people here in OKC, despite the fact that everyone thinks the whole city smokes meth. Now that I say that you'll probably sit by the one asshole Thunder fan in the whole arena lol

A lot of meth fiends in the crowd, tbh, so be careful..

If you want to fit in, you should pretend that your wife is your sister while being publicly affectionate with her, tbh..

Also, don't bad mouth the officials, OKC fans treat them like they are part of the roster, and rightfully so..
How many games have you attended in OKC?

Even the most rabid fans should always be respectful of fans of the opposing team. Here is hoping we have a hard fought but fair and safe game.

This is 1/82, tbh. If HCA is THAT important, then the Spurs have no shot tonight anyway, right?

The most important game of the season was the one where Derrik Rose tore his ACL, IMO, or possibly when Parker turned his ankle; Spurs were clicking before that, haven't since (although I'm holding out hope that is somewhat by design).

Tonight I expect the Thunder to prevail. Rest, sitting, whatever, Spurs are on 4th in 5, Ginobilli is out, Parker is not back up to speed....still think Spurs have the edge in the playoffs.

No Jackson, no Manu.... Will hurt us. Jack capable of defending Durant. Kawahi will have a heavy load on D tonight.
I expect Parker to slaughter chuckbrook.

Durant with 6 fouls in the last 2 minutes will carry the Thunder in this one. The guy gets bailed out by every single ref in the game and unless the spurs are up by at least 13 or 14 at the time of when this reffing comes into effect then it's all over.
