I'm dead serious. Talk to me about the origins of paleface blues, that would be Frank Hutchison from 1927. Talk to me about the first Rockabilly stars. Who was "The Father of Country Music"...? How about..."The King of the Delta Blues"..? Tell me the Tony Allen story. Just think of all those decades of music where ya don't have a clue.
So where did The Grateful Dead find this tune?
Bottom line is you have no depth. Of course neither did I at 20.

No not at all, since a ton of the legendary performers/artists were influensed by what I like. I'll take Eric Clapton over some dumbass kid hiding behind a computer every day of the week. Look at what The Rolling Stones started off with. , listen to the real real early Beatles.
Do a little research slick and see what you find.
Then there's what's good and what's bad.
