deliberately using ties to magnify the political message? seems kinda manipulative; is certainly effective.

I love ties as much as the next guy. And the point I'm making isn't a big deal. But the sense I'm getting is that the dudes here (and in Europe too) are more caught up with the ties then the message because, well, they're ties.
They're attention s trying to make a political message. The medium they're using drowns out the message.
Clearly, these s are concerned with the plight of muslim women and not showing their s at any chance they get to protest the cause celebre in vogue that day ...

so, so what if they're attention s, and that's even better: they're willing to risk their reputations for a cause.

Well, I have two general problems:
1. I think that these s are more concerned with flashing their s for attention than the underlying issue at cause;
2. I think their message is highly inconsistent; as a group opposed to (gender) hierarchies ("FEMEN - is the name of the scandal famous organization of topless women activists, who defend with their breast sexual and social equality in the world;" from their website), I wonder why they adopt a borderline neo-conservative message ( the Islamists, your Morals). They've adopted a colonizing at ude towards the culture and religion of the orient (let's flash our ties so they change; or, we don't care if they change, let's just flash our ties which only reinforces #1). It shows a severe lack of thought for a group ostensibly concerned with equality to take such a position.
It gets international attention, which is exactly their point.
Religions, all of them, makes you stupid and full of hate and vengeance.
And ALL RELIGIONS have always been men's hustle to oppress women as secondary humans.
Because they're s and this is discourse.
Why does it matter so much for you to ask me why I call them s, in a public forum?
