Maybe there wasn't an MRI scheduled. We could all be hypothesizing for nothing.

I don't think the lack of news is good news... The spurs are always fast when it comes to diagnosis and giving timetables for an injury.
I seriously hope right now it'll only sideline Parker until the end of the regular season... but I doubt it.

How long did it take the Spurs to tell us Tim was out for the playoffs in 2000?
Silence is not unprecedented.
Come to think of it today is the first day tickets went on sale to the public iirc.
Why is the ticket thing such a big deal? First round opponent is still a first round opponent. If anything, there is a chance for 4 home games if parker is out. It's not like they are playing the 96 bulls in the first round and no one will want to go to the game.
If its stress fracture tp is done for the season correct?
prepare for the worst and hope for the best spurs fans, man this sucks
The lack of news has me hopeful. If it was serious, he would have had an MRI or X-ray by now.
*clings to hope*
6-8 weeks recovery time for a stress fracture...
fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
Lack of word from the organization has me hoping its just something that can be treated with some rest/ice etc. Maybe he got kicked in the shin last night??? He hasn't played enough lately to already develop a stress fracture, has he?
If that is the case there is still a chance to come back late MAY!!!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
NANDO will lead us to the promised land, tbh. One Frenchie comes out, another goes in. Onward to victory!
I don't know, man. The Spurs may just be keeping the devastating news under wraps right now to protect Playoff ticket sales, tbh, per par.
Chris is a dummy, yes you can get Shin tendonitis so I'm not sure why that trainer would say that, there is tendons running all around the leg shin, ankle, knee etc.. so yeah its probably tendonitis of some kind because Tony has been pushing it to get back quickly so over exerting himself while he's recovering, going too hard to try to do something too soon off those legs that are still banged up probably caused all that stress too. No official word probably means that's something they can treat with rest/meds. I'd sit him the remainder of the regular season and hope that he can get it together for the 1st round.
Team bad luck strikes again. Anyone still think this team will be "fine"? Whether it's tendonitis or a stress fracture, it doesn't really matter (I don't need someone playing amateur doctor to tell me the difference in recovery time; I'm well aware and was not getting at that anyway). Either way, he's most likely out until the playoffs and when he get's back, he, like Ginobili, still won't be 100% and obviously won't be in game shape/rhythm. If by some chance they're not eliminated in the 1st round, they will be in the 2nd. Chalk it up as yet one more season down the drain.
Not only is this terrible news on a micro level, but on a macro level, too. The season, in general, has lost all intrigue. The Heat were likely going to win it all anyway, but now it's a foregone conclusion.
Even without a 100% Tony and Manu, the Spurs will get out of the first round as long as they're playing and effective. If they manage to draw Denver in the 2nd round, considering their own injuries, I can see the Spurs surviving them too. It all comes down to whether or not they can play.
we always knew it was a torn meniscus. the question was whether to play and wait to have surgery after season; tim could have played had pop ever given the green light but he shut him down instead.
You're right about Miami, I don't really see anyone beating them 4 times in 7 games but the playoff picture is pretty wide open in the west. Sure we lost last night but for as much of a powerhouse that OKC is they let the Spurs back into the game 2 times while we were under manned in there backyard. Without someone coming off the bench for them to light it up each and every night the Spurs have a good chance regardless if they are the 1st or 2nd seed. The 1st seed would be nice if only for the HCA throughout the west but I see The Clippers/Memphis matchup more problematic than Den/GS. OKC does have a problem playing Denver though which would make for a tough matchup after they face Houston who with Harden would give them there championship best.
Well i am still looking forward to the playoffs and think the Spurs can make a push. Gotta try to stay somewhat optimistic.
So much wild speculations in this thread
What about just wait Spurs diagnosis?
But that's no fun.
Yeah then he was a thread's width away from bolting to Orlando.
patience people....the more we dwell on it the worse the injury it going to be....Tony Parker will be fine....parker just sore or something.....cramps
