He's been on a steady decline over the years in FT shooting. Began his career as a respectable 69% shooter, dropped to 60 during his prime, now it's 48. He's projected to shoot around 30 percent in his final season. If he misses too many free throws, he'll be next to Wilt Chamberlain for one of the worst free-throw shooting seasons in team history.Howard entered Friday with 48.6% accuracy from the line, currently fifth-worst in Lakers history for players with more than 150 attempts. He's close to falling behind two ex-Lakers.
Shaquille O'Neal made only 48.4% in 1996-97 and Elmore Smith made only 48.5% in 1974-75.
Chamberlain had the two worst free-throw shooting seasons for the Lakers, making only 42.2% in 1971-72 and 44.6% in 1968-69.

When I read the le of this thread, my first thought was, "The only thing Dwight's topping Wilt in is 'worst free throw shooting.'"
LOL, dude photoshopped Bible Kemp's upper body onto Keon Clark's lower.
Somebody went HAM on Dwight's legs in photoshop

he's grown more muscles around his shoulders and arms since his rookie season, which must have affected his shooting accuracy imho. extra muscles don't always help improve your game but it still makes perfect sense to DH, since he's a drama queen who cares more about how his body looks rather than how it works
