What gets me is using children as a crutch... and it happens way too often.
SnC does a FOX Repug propaganda "analysis", but then it's SnC, rabid Fox watcher

Rich irony deposits detected.

Little boutons is an irony generator.![]()
Now that makes sense.
If MSNBC is gonna do a video about this, they should at least pick a more attractive woman to spread the word. What's the name of that sexy black hoe on MSNBC? Tameron Hall?
??? how so? she's only saying adults, It Takes A Village, are collectively, and HORRORS! socialism-ly, responsible for creating an environment, a culture for the next generation to mature in, to apprehend the collective values, culture, and information of society, in (tax payer funded) school and out of school.
teachers, coaches, aunts, unlces, family friends, neighbors etc...
and society that organizes itself so that young people leaving school or college are educated, trained to find jobs above the poverty level, make a living wage, an area where the 1% has truly ed up America with its (good) job destruction over the past 35 years.
Tammy is a classy woman.
I still don't see the issue with her statements... are you guys too stupid to realize that she is not literally saying your kids don't belong to you?
I'll save the replies from those who will cut and past of her comments referring to the children not belonging to the parents because that is not what she is implying....
typical misogynist/sexist at ude by right wing asshole, with no serious comeback when ed slapped by a superior (black) woman

She's using children as a crutch to advocate for more public education spending. I'm tired ofwe're doing this for the children
There's many ways to improve children lives that doesn't involve just tossing stupid tax-payer money at them.
If they want to help kids, why not ease off the whole "you have to go to college to be a winner" bull ?
truer now than ever tbh, unless you're extra smart. besides personal gumption and family connections, there's not a credible vo-tech track in the US.
also, fewer US based technical coolies to support such a notion than before
the stats are very clear that 4-year college, and post-grad both confer huge lifetime income increases.
the bigger problem is that too many kids drop out of HS and cultural problems in black and brown communities/parents where education simply isn't valued as high in white, Asian cultures. This is really what Harris-Perry is talking about.
College, even state Uni, has gotten too expensive plus the Repugs cutting and wanting to cut more Fed college loans, denying even talented, motivated poor kids. But sucking wealth out of citizens is exactly what every large organization's, every major sector's, strategy is now, colleges included.
America is ed and un able. The decline is inevitable and irreversible. Even a socialist/Muslim/terrorist/communist Obama is gutting the safety net like a fringe right-wing tea bagger working for the 1% and corps.
The failures and polarization of the VN war ended the boom of the 50s/60s, plus the 1970s birth of the VRWC marked by Lewis Powell's memo, and the Repug realization that they could commit treason (Nixon scuttling the Paris peace talks) would bring no Dem response has really put American culture and economy in a fatal tailspin.
and people feel it, have felt it for a few decades, if they don't actually "know" it. Boomers kids haven't done as well as boomers did in the 50s and 60s.
