No way they go undefeated. The division is way too good and the NFL is consistently unpredictable. It'll be a tough just to get back to the SB
If the Niners don't have massive injuries, they're almost a lock for a 19-0 Super Bowl championship.
I'm kind of rooting against them now so the 2009 Colts finally get let off the hook.

Brian Banks just got signed by the Falcons. Very cool.

imho teams got smarter this year, they overspent much less and apparently are not going to overdraft qbs
The real RG3 has re-signed with the skins. What will we do with 4 qbs now?
Griffin, cousins, pat white, and Rex grossmann III. I think white is just here to run pistol in camp
I had totally forgotten that dude existed. Wasn't he playing baseball or something?
Looks like the Pats may have found their true replacement for Welker....

smh T.O.
hopefully he gets hit by a bus soon. I would also prefer that the bus be on fire
The Seahawks signed DT Tony McDaniel from Miami and re-signed DT Clinton McDonald. We STAAAAAAAAAAAAAACKED!
i don't get the game the pats are playing with the wr corp, we only have one legit reciever right now, i get that they don't want to rush, but if edelman signs with the giants, i'll be really pissed.
The Ravens are supposedly on the verge of signing Ronaldo McClain:

If he works out, Baltimore may have the best front seven in the AFC ( , maybe the NFL now that I think about it) next season.
Canty Ngata Jones
Suggs McClain McClain Dumervil
With Upshaw, McPhee and Spears rotating in.
Drafting a speedy middle linebacker would be gravy.
So much for the talent drain that was supposed to result from Flacco's deal.
Also, the Patriots actually did sign Sanders to the offer sheet:
http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story/...r-sheet-source
A third seems like a steep price for him.
They worked out a bunch of WR prospects rated to go somewhere in the 3rd round range. Sanders must be better than any of them.
Seahawks are about to sign Antoine Winfield:

Niners
Not winning their own division

I guess, but doesn't this leave the Patriots with, like, four picks in this year's draft?
Yes but if they planned on using a 3rd rounder on a WR, then it's basically a wash. They just used it to get one.
Now if they also blow their 1st or second on a receiver and don't address the defense in the draft, then i'll question this move.
That's fair. It just seems unlike the Patriots to have such few picks. It's always nice to have that flexibility come draft day.
This sucks for the Steelers (not that anyone on this board really cares, though). They could have kept Sanders this season and still gotten a third for him in a couple of years. Now, they have to worry about trying to use that Pats pick to find a replacement for one of their two receivers. They could shock everyone and match the offer, but I'd have to see the offer-sheet details to know how possible that would be.
Yeah and I'll take Sanders over their recent 3rd round selections at WR (Taylor Price,
Brandon Tate)
They should draft another fat run stuffing linebacker in the 1st round, preferably one who can't cover tbh, since that's Belichick's way of addressing the D every year.
Well don't forget when he drafts a CB that can't stay healthy or a Safety with the IQ of a beagle.
Or an edge rusher who's athletic but has absolutely no lower body strength![]()
But he's a defensive genius! Not anybody could dominate with Lawrence Taylor. Or coach a defense where you already inherited Willie McGinest, Ty Law, Lawyer Milloy, and Tedy Bruschi!
Look at how many 2nd round picks he gets every year!
Imagine if we actually had a coach/GM who was great at drafting defensive talent during the 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 draft, it'd be the deepest defense in the NFL with all those picks going to actual quality players.
RE this: this is the year the Albert Haynesworth and OchoCinco trades catch up to them in the draft. That's why they have so few picks. Additionally, prior to last year, they had two first round picks but always used one to trade down and stockpile for next year. Last year they actually used both first rounders so they didn't make the trade to add more picks like they normally do. I was fine with them using both picks as it was time to stop building for the future, I just wish they made better use of the 2nd first rounder than a 270 pound fat ILB who can't cover.
Ravens fans REALLY wanted Hightower last year. They were upset that they had to "settle" for Upshaw. All things considered, it's worked out for Baltimore so far. It is a shame that the Patriots have two inside linebackers who can't cover. This wouldn't be a bad year to move up to get a player like Ogletree in the mid-second to compliment their run-stoppers. I just don't see how they could justify taking him after having invested in es and Hightower.
But hey, I hear Te'o can't cover to save his life. He'd be a fine pick.
