normally I'd say he's makin it up and won't miss any playing time but he did leave the game before it was over and was limping heading to the locker room so...
Kobe tears achilles tendon...wow.

Holy . Injuries this season.. Damn. I thought San Antonio were the only unlucky ones. Man, hate to see someone as compe ive as Kobe go down like that.
Lakers still have 2 to 3 probable HOFers. If they had a bench and a real coach, they'd still be a lock for the playoffs. It'll make the game on Sunday interesting. Not only are they fighting for the playoffs, but Dwight and Pau will be out to prove they can be the focus of the offense successfully.
This is the absolute capper to a nighmare season for the Lakers.
If it's a torn Achilles, he's out for the rest of his contract. May make sense for the Lakers to amnesty him - will save the $3.25 luxury tax on his deal ($100 million). Not sure they have cap room for anything but Dwight anyway.
And as much as I disdain Kobe, never fun to see anyone go down like that. Always loved him as a compe or.
Video of Kobe talking about it in front of a famous Jacob Riis quote. Wonder where the Lakers came up with that?
P.S. -- too bad for Kobe. Never want to see that. I hope for his sake the MRI shows this isn't what hey think it is.
Damn. And we thought we as Spurs fans had a bad day....
So who is a tougher 1st round matchup for OKC now? The Lakers without Kobe or the Jazz?
Sucks......I don't wish injury on anyone. Keep it classy
Lakers without Kobe still have Howard, Gasol and Nash..
Utah has Al Jefferson and that's it, tbh..
What a weird day in the basketball world....
Not a Kobe fan, but hate to see him go down like that
What happened? Amuseddaysleeper started their game thread?
LOL D'Antoni riding the snitch into the ing ground.
LOL Jim Buss
LOL $120 million
I'm still rooting like for Milwaukee/Sacramento to beat OKC.
Spurs winning on Sunday should mean Utah gets in and that may be the path of least resistance.
This is the result and a perfect example of what likely can happen if Pop overplayed Manu, Tim and Tony on a consistent basis. It is why Pop can be overly cautious at times.
LOL got talking about Jack an hour ago wants sympathy now
Kobe
LOL karmic payment for the 50 FTAs
Nash you say? Where has he been the past month or so?![]()
And also...At the Lakers jacking the Jacob Riis quote about the stone cutter from the Spurs....
i can't stand kobe-think he's a major d-bag, but i've got mad respect for his game and will to win. in the end, he was probably pushing his body so hard that it just hit the brink. bad thing is that this injury almost assuredly kills his 2014 season as well. hate to see that happen to anyone. hopefully it's not what it is feared to be.
LOL this got thinking his coined Bible Kemp couldn't be applied to Bible Jackson
LOL hypocrite got
Great F'n News tbh. Any Spurfan who thinks otherwise is lying to themselves.
kobe had played the whole game to that point. ridiculous.
That's what happens when you play someone 48mpg.
