I saw the postgame interviews, and Bryant got a little red-eyed when some reporter said, "If anybody can get through this, it's you." Or maybe Bryant was red-eyed about the fact that the universe will not revolve around him for a year. But Laker fans should be happy...Bryant did the only thing he possibly could that would insure Dwight would re-sign with the Lakers. Without this Achilles blowout, Dwight is so very out of LA.
Not a chance. Bible Kemp doesn't give a about anything other than money and fathering bas children. He was going back either way.

Upon further reflection, I think Bryant was red-eyed because of the ref's poignant reaction to his Achilles injury. What did the ref do when Bryant fell to the ground? He blew the whistle, of course. It's just the perfect tribute, really, to the one player who has benefitted more from the whistle than any other player in history. I mean, this is America...I call for a 21-Whistle Salute to honor this fallen hero.

You've nary room. Your Neal raped as well.
At least Neal is standing and upright and available to play at Staples on Sunday. You've nary room because your hero played too many minutes playing hero ball and it cost him about 4 months of his basketball life.

Kobe acting like his injury had something to do with the position his team is in is mind boggling. "We worked so hard to be in a position where our fate was in our own hands"???? What? You are scratching for an 8th seed bruh and if UTA would have gone 4-0 you had 0 chance.

It's almost as if this is planned. LA woefully underachieved and now they will point to this Kobe injury as if it was all season.
