Face it. Does anyone doubt if we had Chris Paul (with Dwight) that we'd be in a position that Kobe would NEED to play 48 minutes? Kobe forced himself into that position because the team had to fight for the 8 seed.

Please chant KOBE KOBE right before tip off. Please! And don't stop, keep going until a timeout is called, and then keep going. Let him know how much we all appreciate his effort this season, how amazingly he played, all his comebacks, his will to win, his playing 48 minutes, and giving it all even when injured. he carried this team, franchise, this city on his back and because of his determination and heart, put us in a position to make the playoffs when all hope was just about lost.
Give him a standing ovation. Chant his name. Show him love for being on the court in a pressure situation and standing on 1 leg while making 2 critical free throws, which proved to be essential in winning the game. He promised we'd make the playoffs and if the season ended today, we'd be in.
We love you Kobe. You completed your mission. The mission for those going to the Spurs game: chant his name LOUD! Tell everyone there to do it. Let him know how much he is appreciated, and how much we want him back!
If it takes any human 1 year, he'll be back in by the start of next season. I guarantee it. Never, ever project a normal recovery period to Kobe Bryant... that would be naive of us.
There's no way he goes out like this. Not a chance. If anything, this will extend his playing career a year because he'll want to catch up.

Even though ive not liked him from jump, ive refrained from Tweeting abt firing d'antoni or what-have-you & ive tried to be supportive since hes my teams coach but I mean... I'm glad I missed whatever post-game stupidity D'Antoni had to say... (and I've said from the jump Kobe. Was. Playing. Too. Damn. Much. )

Does it really need to be explained to you why a 34 year old player with 17 YEARS in the NBA shouldn't be averaging 45+ minutes at the END OF THE SEASON????? I don't think it takes a wizard to realize what the CONSEQUENCES WOULD BE???? I've been saying that even if they do make playoffs, Kobe is going to KILL HIMSELF by the time they reach it the way he has been pushed. Kobe is the horse that ran himself to death and died of exhaustion trying to hide Dantoni's MASSIVE flaws as a coach.

D'Antoni played Kobe like a slave in Egypt. Never allowing him even a minute's rest. Sometimes playing him all 48 minutes (at age 34).
The man knew he had torn his Achilles as he was laying on the floor. He walked to the bench. Walked all the way to the free throw line. And made 2 free throws to tie the game on a torn Achilles. His final points this season just tells you who Kobe Bryant is right there.
I love Kobe. This is so damn sad.I know....it still makes me cry!
It was also so emotional watching Kobe limp off after the FTs and Sacre coming over to help him walk.
