Whatever. This is the same guy who game back after 2 games from the same "injury" that took Parker 4-6 weeks.

I'll believe Kobe won't be playing when I see it.

Lakers still won the game to hold onto 8th place, that's great compensation.

If Kobe's gonna be out for the season, I wouldnt mind rooting for the Lakers against the Thunder. Its a stretch I know. But it would be the biggest FU to Kobe if they can play winning basketball without him. But I expect the media to eat that up like Kobe is Kevin Ware.

    Win for Kobe, guys

With 50 free throws (and a +34? free throw differential) at their disposal, the refs have lots of leeway to influence games, so I wouldn't put this beyond the realm of possibility

As much as I hate Kobe's guts, he is a compe or and I hate to see him go down like that. Hopefully he can get it together and finish out his career on a better note.
I agree, I respect his will to win, the spurs need some of that fire in them. The Spurs and Lakers won't have anything to smack talk about now if its the end of his career.

The Lakers should amnesty Kobe. If not, it's going to cost them $80 million. $30 mil for his contract, $50 mil in luxury tax. I know that sounds blasphemous to Lakers fans, but at 35 years old and coming off a significant injury like this, it'd be dumb not to tbh.

if he gets amnestied, plenty of teams will bid amnesty waivers with the anticipation that he comes back around march and helps in a playoff push. a team like okc/dallas/new york would all put bids on him for sure.
