just to be fair- one series of last years playoffs
Ah to be single in Europe. Nice.
I'm really hoping tiago steps up in diaw's absence. Looks like not developing Baines was an excellent decision by Pop. Now we're going to rely on Stepchild and I am not a fan of his. I have developed such a negative at ude about him, makes me feel a little guilty but he symbolizes EVERYTHING that is wrong with the team.
True, seems like alot of formerly rolling teams have some issues right now. But wow the spurs got whacked in the face in a hurry. ANY team we face can beat us. Game 1 is just SO important. If this team comes out not focused or blows a double digit lead it's just going to be a sorry situation. Throw in a little ref bias and some small ball and you've got a tasty plate full of .

An ode to Stephen Jackson:

i wish I had been with girls like that, but I only talked with some like Lefty's "girlfriend". it was more of a family trip, and tbh, I don't get dime pieces like that.
I like Bonner, but mainly because he's so hardworking and professional. I have pretty low expectations for him so I'm never that angry. I think he'll be average in the playoffs. But I won't deny he does shrivel up. But even TP has been known to shrivel up at times. happens.
I have no idea where this team is going. by removing Jax, Pop either cemented the team's downward spiral or removed a problem and some cohesion + focus can return. We'll find out. But I actually like that I have no idea where things are headed. Last year I joined this site because I thought we were in the middle of something beautiful and I wanted to celebrate with Spurs fans, that didn't work out too well. So I'd rather be pleasantly surprised.
After the initial shock wore off yesterday, I focused more on the positives of this: Not handing him guaranteed minutes in match-ups he's not needed in the playoffs, insuring Neal stays in the rotation and plays SG in perpetuity (probably) and when Ginobili returns, they'll have more shooting/play making in the rotation. But having had a day to think about it, I've realized that this is a ridiculous decision and one that sends a bad message to the team.
The entire season has been about winning the championship, but how can they do that now (I know they weren't going to anyway, but I'm looking at it from the players perspective)? Sure, he's been the worst player on the team, but this is about what this symbolizes (reminds me of them handing Ratliff a way in '10, only it's much more significant) and that is that they don't think they can win the championship. If they did, they wouldn't ask out of Leonard something that no player in the entire league is capable of. If they get to the WCF and beyond, they'll need him to match minutes with Durant/James, who play unlimited at that point, stay out of foul trouble and produce at a high rate, all while playing with a knee at less than 100%. That's insane.
If the Spurs end up winning it all..do you give Jax a ring??
28% from 3-pt land, on a team that takes more than it's share, wasn't acceptable. Jack was shooting that same percentage last year, when he arrived from MIL and clearly he got no better at it since then.
More I think about it, the more Sjax went into Iverson mode.
Wanted to be the man, make his next big contract. Skills and playing time disappearing.
??? No.
in the comments...
Perchance do you have a SpursTalk account? You’d fit in perfecly.
Meh. Whatever. He didn't give a about the team otherwise he would have sucked it up and supported them. Yeah, yeah it looked like he did support them in games, but his mind was more on his next contract than "being the next Horry" for the team. I've defended Jack all year, and sadly he proved me wrong by this -ass move. Anyone who claims they are better than Manu and Green even though they themselves have sucked all year weren't in it for the team.
I respect him for what he did in 03, getting RJ out of town, and his WCF performance, but he bailed on the team so him.
OH LORD HERE WE GO AGAIN! Bonner okay in these playoffs? Are you high? It seems some never learn and always think that will change! BONNER SUCKS IN THE PLAYOFFS, period. If he hits a few shots good! He will not be fine though in the playoffs as that is not his game.
If you can't tell, I'm also racm over there. Guilty as charged.![]()
best to have a euro girlfriend tbh.
oh yeah and sjax was overpaid, though i liked him.
Thanks for the comic relief... that is gut busting material.. and pretty much spot on. KimJungDumper is the proverbial 24/7 forum doberman on the constant prowl for known Pop objectors..![]()
Ins utionalized lol
I thought this was a big boy game. Those are grown ass men in the locker room. To drop this guy before the playoffs was really stupid considering he could really help against the only two teams that matter, okc and the heat.
Probably SA210. He's kind of ashamed to post under that screen name after melting down so many times.
Got any new scouting reports on players you have never seen play basketball, TJ?
SA210 destroyed you pretty much - now you are tap-dancing like ten s on crack - to try and save face.
You aren't succeeding.
Eh, your collective butthurt speaks for itself.
It's good to have goals in life; if getting back at me is a major one for you, that's your choice.
Please, Mr. 74000 posts - explain to me about GOALS IN LIFE!!!!

Bull got! You got your head so deep up Pop's ass, I bet you could suck a golf ball through a garden hose!
What kinda name is ChumpDumper anyway, only steers and s call themselves ChumpDumper, and you ain't no steer, so we can pretty much guess what that makes you!
Drop and gimme 25!
Well, trying to change the subject of a thread to me like you are doing here is an example.
Good job!
You too, SA210.![]()
