DPG are we talkin about Miami or SA, im gettin lost with all the convos
I respect your points, (no troll) but i think they have played like 5 games together i cant remember, thats most def not enough time build a bear none the less build some chemistry. I think its premature to judge them this early, but yes they were hyped and sure you are right about their success on the court thats what dictates everything

Sorry for the confusion: First line was about the Spurs: While DPG have played together for a long time, they missed so many games that the chemistry was not really helpful.
The 2nd part was a note to say a team like MIA, with no chemistry and huge adjustments made it to the finals.
but dont you agree that having spent so much time together, that helps them play better together, as well as set a good example for the young ones coming in as well.
but my point with miami was that the relationship wade and lbj had made them gel better together on the court, and that the miami players rallied around that, but still failed. some chemistry has to be there to get to the top, but championship teams have to all know how to play together, and it takes time. Although this might kill my argument completely I will be straight, did boston win after they acquired garnett/allen? that might of been the only time that ever happend
We are talking about making the 8th seed - not the finals. The 8th seed. With one of the most talented rosters in history.
disappointing, i agree. But it takes time. And kobe or not, i still believe if they play defense, which is doubtful i might add, they could still make a little noise.
I'm talking about players 1 through 12. I just think Kobe is a poor leader when it comes to promoting team chemistry and cohesion throughout a team.
With all the talent the Lakers have, should have still been fighting for 4th place right about now (even with all the injuries).
so who led the lakers to winning in '09 '10? Thats silly to say hes a poor leader, when it comes to winning and work ethic, and sets a great example, sure hes not a team player all the time, but hes gotten it done in the past, and at his age now playing the heaviest minutes of his career by far, he is still top 3 IMHO(done snap).
Injuries effect teams so much, players dont know the rotation or how many minutes to play, or where to be at what time. it takes a toll.
Kobe is the most stubborn athlete in sports, so he'd probably force himself back by then even if he could barely run and jump. But the Kobe you'd get would be a complete s , which isn't a "comeback" in my mind.
If you expect his return to be some type of Willis Reed morale boost, with Kobe playing a very limited role off the bench, then I do agree with you that he's back in 7 months. But if you think he's going to jump back into the line up, play 30 plus minutes a game, and start dropping 25 like he never left, you're seriously deluded. For Kobe to get back anywhere near an all-star level, it's gonna take at least a year.
thats not what i said. i said be back, but unfortunately i have to agree with you. he will probably need some time to get back to tip top shape
the lakers are no more decent than the 04' team imho. only one of their current big 4 is still at prime age but had to play with injury through the majority of the season, while the total ages of the other 3 count up to over 100 years.
