Because there was a bombing..... The Nets can't get the 3rd seed after the loss against the Raptors anyway.
http://www.nba.com/2013/news/04/15/b...led/index.htmlNEW YORK (Official Release) -- National Basketball Association game scheduled for Tuesday, April 16 between the Indiana Pacers and the Boston Celtics at TD Garden has been canceled. The game will not be rescheduled.
The NBA expresses its sympathy to all those affected by the tragedy in Boston earlier today.
How can they just cancel the game? They are potentially robbing Brooklyn of the #3 seed! The Nets swept the Pacers in the regular season and had a chance to tie them.

Because Miami is in the eastern conference and seeding is pointless
they should cancel all Bobcats games too while they're at it
3 seed at least has a chance to make it to the ECF.
So both teams finish the season only completing 81 games?
Yes. And since Brooklyn won their game tonight, it could still end up like this:
3. Indiana 49-32 .605
4. Brooklyn 49-33 .598
And since Brooklyn holds the tiebreaker, they could be robbed of the 3 seed, simply because Indiana does not play enough games.
Brah it's just a game...you know they bombing s right?
So what is TNT going to air from 7pm to 930pm? The Mentalist, Dallas, or Castle?
They changed the time of the Hawks-Raptors game (the only other game tomorrow night, besides the second game of the doubleheader) and are going to air that on TNT.
Awesome news. Can't wait.
OK, I didn't realize a team cannot win the tiebreaker if the other team is a division winner. So the seeds were already locked in.
could've just played the game in indianapolis imho.
^Or, at a neutral site, Cleveland for instance.
It should be playedPERIOD
Indiana clinched the 3rd seed when Brooklyn lost to Toronto. So seeding isn't a factor
