Maybe, maybe not, but signing McGrady doesn't change that outcome one iota.
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/91...urs-reach-deal"It's official," McGrady told ESPN.com in a text message Tuesday afternoon.
The 33-year-old McGrady will be eligible to play for the Spurs during the playoffs because he was not on an NBA roster as of March 1. He said he will not play in San Antonio's regular-season finale on Wednesday night against Minnesota.
Rofl. ace3g slow as , per tha usual.
Not a great signing, not bad. We needed a forward, we got one. He is healthy and can give 8-10 minutes a game. He always was a solid passer, something we desperately need. If he ever gets hot....BONUS.
Bull ! I just ran out and got tix to the last game hoping he was going to suit up.
Who said he wont? My brother was just watching the news and said he'll be eligible to play tomorrow...
am i the only one who said "oh god no" ?
At the very least Tmac should help erase the painful memories of small ball with Richard Jefferson.

If Pop's plan is to use him as a small balls pf then yes it does.

Is it 2003? Still a good signing for a guy who can create his own shot.
If he can hit corner 3s play decent defense and not fuk up in the 4-8 min a game he's gonna play than I see nothing wrong with this signing.
McGrady isn't replacing Jack's role completely. Pop probably realizes they are two different people. If not, someone will
probably tell him.
Am I really the first person to post this?
McGrady still has flashes where he can cut to the basket too so that's a plus aside from the outside game. Plus he can create his own shot, not shabby
Malik Hairston is rolling over in his grave tbh.
I'm like a little kid right now, haha.... I love this signing for everything mentioned. Nothing to lose, fills the roles we need, has something to prove... and I think just as important as anything possibly... This city, and Spurs fans, are instantly excited again after being down for the last month.![]()
A desperate move from a desperate franchise, nothing more.
