Good news. A "Let's see what his limits are" game. I thought he was further behind progress than this.

I wouldn't expect much out of McGrady besides having an extra warm body. He has always had team player issues.
Damn I wanted to see the Mac in action.
Splitter is out too.
Some rest may be good for Splitter.

Good for Splitter and Ginobili. Hoping Manu just takes it easy tonight in very limited minutes (10-15) while Splitter deserves the rest having played nearly every game. Team just needs to find an offensive rhythm and play defense like Sunday and they're golden.

Why the is T-Mac out tonight? If he participated in shootaround why not let him play a little tonight?

Surprised McGrady isn't playing tonight just to see what he's got left. He sure looks good in those shooting videos. I guess he's just getting a crash course with the coaches and players for now.

I find it very hard to believe T-Mac won't play at least a little bit. You know Pop isn't going to want to play TP, Green, Kawhi, Manu, or TD in the late 3rd and whole 4th quarters. So I think he'll throw him out there with guys like De Colo, Mills, Bonner, Blair, Joseph, Baynes, etc...
May be purely for educational purposes. This is the only game that TMac will have a chance to sit and watch the Spurs system and sets in action, and it's a lot easier to learn as an observer than being in the game.
As much as we all want to see him play, and even though it would be good for his conditioning, he needs to know what he is supposed to do and where he is supposed to be if he is going to be of any use, and this game is a perfect chance for him to let that try to sink in.

Tiago deserves a day off. Plus Tiago is about to get worked in the first round minutes wise without Diaw.
Great sign that Pop is letting Manu play that means he's pretty Damn healthy. If there was even a question about his health he wouldnt let him play and give him 4 more days of rest
