Rasheed Wallace Retires Again From NBA
Apr 17, 2013 12:23 PM EDT
Rasheed Wallace has again retired from the NBA after battling injury issues throughout this season, the New York Knicks announced on Wednesday.
“Rasheed has given this team everything he had,” Mike Woodson said in a statement. “He is a winner, true professional and leader on and off the court. Due to his injury, he will not be available to play for us during the playoffs."
When healthy, Wallace fortified the Knicks' defense and provided floor spacing, averaging four points and four rebounds in 21 games.
Wallace, 38, had not played for the past two seasons before coming out of retirement for the Knicks.

They took him on a vet min contract... He was worth the flyer and played well when healthy, just broke down predictably
I still get sick thinkin' about that money he left on the table with the Celtics after '10. I still think about Oliver Miller leaving' $56 miilion on the table from the Raptors and had to take the $1 million from the Suns. And they only offered that so he wouldn't sue them over racial incidents.
Only thing worse than dieing is losing money.
Lol someone offered Oliver Miller 56 million, rofl
If you turned him sideways he was like 7'3". They had a picture of him in the AZ Republic like that back then. It was impressive.
Knees don't lie.
I like Sheed , always have -definitely one of the few PF's who could "shut down" Tim Duncan.
sheed was a baller man, he is a character though, going to miss that tbh
Jesus Christ, if DUNCAN sees that I'll be in big in' trouble. It'll all get started again.
His "booty holes be gettin' tight" was comical but absolutely dead on.

He never had to answer for walkin' away from Horry after CWEBB had shown him the lethal error of doing so. It was a black thing.
I still remember him walking against the grain 17 June 2010, heading for the ref's locker room. He hesitated just smidge, thought about following his fellows to their locker-room, but, couldn't resist his baser instincts. LAPD SWAT had to carry that asshole out of Staples in his uniform.
LMAO!!
It was. Let a white man (or a Laker) do what Barkley did in '93, what CWEBB did in '02. What Wallace did in '05? You'd never hear the end of it. To the grave.
Are you ting me, Polly?
My most memorable Sheed moment:

Sheed didn't give a about the refs...this one is classic:

Sheed tells ref : "I ain't scared of yall"

^ To get Sheed to shut up the ref asks Chauncy: " Hey do you have any influence over him?"
Sheed says: " naw don't nobody do" ....![]()
Sheed gets choked out in college...that dude chocked him with 2 hands.... lol

Gonna miss Sheed tbh. He was sick back in his Portland days. I'll never get those Jailblazer teams.
You son-of-a- , you. Comin' around skinnin' & grinnin' after the stunt you pulled late last nite. I made a fresh list 4 o'clock this morning. 100 button men on the street 24 hours a day. That Turk, shows one hair on his ass...
Son, I didn't ask you if you ed your mother some more last night; I asked if Oliver Miller really got a $56 million offer. Which he did not; the deal he turned down from Toronto was for $5.4 million.
