1. I don't need to have an idea of how long it should take. That many men assigned to a 20-block radius should have been able to find this dude a lot quicker than 48 hours.
2. It is if one considers the amount of personnel involved in the manhunt & the radius in which this kid was found in. You're meaning to tell me a 19-year old kid was able to get away on foot undetected for 48 hours by helicopters, apc's and hundreds of thousands of law enforcement on the ground? Stop trying with this partner.
3. The place of primary interest was watertown. Not Boston. Like I've said already, and you've dismissed, the area of operation was 20 blocks!!!!!!
4.@ the meth comment. Boston gets a lot of credit for harboring bright people but their law enforcement took a big on that notion.

@ needing a resident to tip you off on the location of the suspect when there are thousands of law enforcement looking for him
How dare you question our police force
Dont you know according to their own police reports. Which they themselves write. They did evrything right?![]()
Tbh I wonder how the SAPD would have done in similar cir stances
Perps would be in Mexico by now
What would you have done differently?
You know history![]()
tbh I'm not even sure Boston PD did anything wrong. I'd just like to be allowed to ask questions. How does a 19 year old slip through their fingers, when they should have been at max alert?
I know ppl that tried to run away from cops on a peaceful Tuesday night, they were not even allowed to get even 1000 feet before 10 police cars surrounded them. I just don't understand how the bombers got away after a firefight and had extra 20 hours to shut down a whole city. Again, not saying they did anything wrong, just would like to be able to question their actions.
Why couldn't they trace his DNA using a super computer to triangulate exactly where he was?
Law enforcement fail!!!!
Your questions contradict the initial statement you made in this post.
You can ask questions as much as you want, but you're sounding like a preschooler asking questions that you can't grasp.
I think even LEOs would admit that you need some luck in a manhunt. Look at Son of Sam, the NYPD only found him b/c he parked next to a fire hydrant or some .
I mean, you're talking about finding one man in a metro area of several million people. One man.
When I was following it live last night, there was a poor bas shown on CNN on the ground being arrested as well as a naked guy whom they ordered to strip down. Both of them were released if Im not mistaken. The Boston PD also gave two wrong names for the suspects including the missing Brown U student Tripathi (that mustve sucked for that family). Not trying to hate on Boston PD but I do think they had their share of ups tbh.
the punjabs probably wish they had that resource looking for their missing son...

There's no record of BPD giving out Sunil Tripathi's name. Or it could just be a SA210 sized conpiracy.
So, do you have any actual evidence that the Tsarnaevs were set up, or are you fine with bombing innocent civilians as long as it isn't Obama doing it?
1) Do you know how many places there are that one can hide in a 20 block area? Do you know how hard it is to conduct a search while making sure you don't leave gaps that he can escape from? No, you don't, so stop armchair policing.
2) He wasn't undetected for 48 hours in Watertown. The shootout occurred late Thursday night/Friday morning. He was found in the boat roughly 24 hours later.
3) Watertown is considered part of the greater Boston area. It's still highly populated and only 10-20 miles from downtown Boston.
4) The police were going door to door, searching in a tactical manner. They weren't looking at people's boats in their back yards, obviously. Don't really think that's a huge knock against them.
So now they are internet tough guy tacticians? No doubt the police made a "mistake" in not setting up a proper perimeter when they found the car in Watertown Thursday night. But the turnaround on finding him was very good, as the rational people in this thread have shown. There are tons of small streets, businesses, and houses in Watertown. It's not like walking up DeZavala.
For everyone who lives in San Antonio, Watertown has nearly the same population as Schertz (32k)... In a total area 1/6th as large as Schertz. It's also slightly more than 10x the population density of Schertz and 2x the pop density of San Antonio and Dallas.

I've been to Watertown at least 20 times in my 3 years up here and still haven't seen maybe half the streets/neighborhoods.
Absurd over-reaction by the authorities to shut down the entire city. Welcome to Obama's police state formally known as the USA.
They took a Muslim terrorist to Beth Israel Hospital...
That’s going to piss someone off..
If you are going to use a boat to escape make sure it is in water not Watertown…
The police said Sunil on the police scanner along with another name I don't remember. I definitely heard it as did others.
What happens if that guy doesn't go out for a smoke? Does he end up running away or dying out because he can't go into a hospital?
Lol @ people ing. They killed one and captured the other within one week.
I guess you can't please everyone.
