16 points, 16 rebounds. Howard had 15 boards as well.

When you have guys who can rebound like that who are on the floor at the same time, why wouldn't you post them up every trip down the floor?

Don't blame Pau. Even Crip knew they should play a post up game. Post post post... of course he doesn't see that when he's on the floor.

i think he had a good game

artest and howard couldve done more, but too bad howard has no real post game, artest can use his size to bully down low but that clown loves to shoot jumpers and hang out at the perimter...

    stave blake is very underrated....

The perimeter game has Mike D's filthy fingerprints all over it. Mike cannot run a post game to save his ass.

A good coach would take that team to the Finals and stomp the out of the Heat who have no real inside presence.

That's because his ego won't allow him to even think someone else could do what he does, and when he's on the floor he sees himself as always the best option on offense. When he's out, he discounts the rest of the team and his sense slowly returns.

lakers starters outperformed spurs starting 5 imho. however, their only got a total of 10 points off the bench while manu himself contributed 18 to them spurs, which cost lakers the game.

Yup...that's usually the case when a team is not that good and they are on the road. It just seems like those shots fall in @ home compared to road games. I still think this series has only just begun, Spurs fans way too excited. Everything going according to the plan thus far...though I have Spurs in 6, I think this series is gonna be a good one.

They thought beating Kobe would be eaiser than this.

They'd forgotten about San Antonio. That's how stupid there are, A. & how much they hate Kobe, B.

By late Wednesday nite they won't hate him so much.

But... but spurfan led me to believe the Lakers were a better team without Kobe and that Kobe was responsible for Pau's shortcomings, underperformances, the current global wave of earthquakes, the Boston bombings etc.

there's really no way to spin 0-13 and soon to be 0-14 without Kobe...it simply can't be done....at some point you have to get at least 1 win by yourself...this is Pau's perfect opportunity..I 'd prefer at least 2 wins but if not no problem as long as Pau plays well...we'll need him as good trade bait for Rondo...

I'm sorry but Kool is right on the 0-13. I know that it is a team sport but I have seen several all-star players like Pau (Pau is not a superstar) will a team to one victory over a better opponent countless times. He says he is healthy. He has NAsh (HOF PG) and Howard (All-star big) so when this swings to Staples he has to lead us to at LEAST ONE VICTORY he just has to. Heck I would even accept a James Worthy vs the Pistons in 1989 type performance even if we get swept, so that he proves his playoff flameouts were a fluke the past two years or he ups his trade value. MAgic and Scott blew their hammies and James tried to carry us in vain, by torching the IMPOSING Pistons front-line, dropping 26 and 40 ...at the Forum ... .

Other examples: Eric "Sleepy" Floyd vs. 1987 (IIRC) Lakers or Worthy vs. the Suns in 1992 you can and should be able to lead your team to ONE WIN ...

I prefer players leading a team to playoffs than those who don't, tbh.

Also, too early to say that the series is done. Far from it. There are many cases where the Lakers were playing better than the Spurs, I am not entirely sure why three first names went away from a Pau/Dwight double post game, the Spurs really had no answers for that, and the Lakers were able to cut a double-digit lead down to 4 points in only a few minutes.

The Lakers are now a much better defensive team, and a low post presence of Pau+Dwight is even making a geriatric Nash and Blake Mamba look like real starter material players. Tells you what a dominant frontline can do for a team.

Yep this is true well at least once ... I attended Game 3 of that sweep and I saw Phil poking Pau in his ches,t not Achilles ... bedsides Mavs sweep cant recall another sweep since the Pau trade tbh ...
The rumors about some relationship drama affecting Pau's mental state were all over L.A. ...

How about players that lead a team to backtoback Finals over a player that cant lead ants to a picnic?
Not saying series is over I EXPECT at least ONE WIN ...
IF I dont get that then I have issues with not only Pau but also Dwight. In fact since he claims to be our leader now my main issue is with Dwight. But, Pau was able to help us win les as Achilles #2 now he is #2 to Howard and he is getting the ball movement some of you (and Pau) say a Achilles led offense lacks, so lets see what Pau can do ...
