I tell him about Blind Lemon Jefferson, Texas Alexander, Little Hat Jones, Bessie Tucker, Funny Papa Smith, Henry Thomas, Ramblin' Thomas, Willie Reed, then work my way up with...Lightnin' Hopkins, Albert Collins, Larry Davis. Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys played some blues.
Now the guy knows who to search out if he's into Texas Blues. On his own he'll discover...Joe Pullum, Whistlin' Alex Moore, Ida May Mack, Victoria Spivey, Black Boy Shine, Black Ivory King, The Black Ace. He'll find out that while he was actually from Louisiana Leadbelly spent most his time in Texas.
Without knowledge you don't know enought to know what's "really" what. Why do you battle this so hard? It isn't very obvious I'm very serious about a few pet interests and know all about them?
