Thanks CN. Just here to be a good fan of the game, instead of following the masses blindly.

It pains me, you see, to have to bring down a fantastic basketball player like Kobe to let everybody understand the context. I am in no way saying Kobe is a horrible player, in fact, I think he's a fantastic player, and I would like to create discussions as to how people can explain all these consistently pitiful performances. But instead of getting well thought-out responses, I am getting all these accusations and slander. It really breaks my heart to see that bullying and intimidation is the only tactic of the ignorant.
    Boiled down:::

    Kobe: 5

the tired old bag Duncan: 4

See now that ...that is some funny and good .
Sad part is deflecting with humor shows you have not come to grips with your addiction...I can help but not if you won't admit you have a problem. Your obsessed with 34 year old mambas with no Achilles. Instead of enjoying a potential Finals run you spend time spewing hate and some unusual erotic feelings about Pau. Wait, what? You say you are straight? Couldn't hear ya with your tongue so far up Pau's anus.

LOL amb butthurt because he posts numbers but no one cares ... Sure Achilles has struggled some in big games but all great players do MJ and Magic included ...but somehow that makes Pau laader? But wait K sucked as the leader ...so which is it? Was he the leader or not? And why can't u just admit you despise Achilles Amb? Plenty on here freely admit it and its not like you have any credibility on the subject matter because Stevie Wonder sitting in a basement at night with the lights off can see your hate. I dont like Paul Pierce, Celtic. Great player underrated by some overrated by others. Whenevervi discuss his legacy I freely admit because I'm self aware enough to know its there.
C’mon KK81, you are better than that, going on wild accusations about me being butthurt and all. Did you see me creating a horribly constructed thread full of cherrypicked stats and horrible analysis to refute how this is a relevant topic at this time? Of course you didn’t, because that is a horrible way to say it.

And judging by the responses from the # of Laker fans, I would say that “no one cares” about these numbers, because it certainly got a lot of guys’ panties in a wad. In fact, it generated an offspin, but horribly constructed new thread intended to bring down Duncan, but only led to the realization of how well Duncan performs under pressure.

Well, it wasn’t well constructed as a thread, but I went on the Laker fan’s premise that Kobe was the leader of those Laker teams, and he sucked. Therefore, he must not have been the leader. In fact, the more he sucked, the more the Lakers won because MVPau drove the Lakers to victory in multiple cases. MVPau was the leader in stats and the true difference maker, and Fisher was the emotional and true team leader.

I am not saying Kobe struggled once in a while. Duncan had some huge blunders in elimination games, but the key is, Duncan got more good ones than bad. Kobe? Well, the reverse is true.

I also don’t get your insistence that I hate Kobe. I don’t. I think he’s a wonderful player. In fact, he would be my #3 all-time 1 on 1 player behind MJ and Wilt, maybe even ahead of them. However, I am not here to blindly praise a player and proclaim him to be more than he is, because it’s unfair, and it actually tarnishes his legacy. A player should be presented and remembered for what he truly is, I don’t want Kobe to be treated by people as a god and ignoring all his foibles, and then years down the road, people discover the truth and destroys his legacy.

CN is in your corner Amb, take heart blind leading the blind ...(hate wise)

Tell me when you eat Ambs ass does he make you use syrup or jelly?
There is no need to insult. When you agree with Thread, do you eat his ass?

As I explained earlier, not having the great stolen nickname on the Lakers is really worrisome for me, and I still think that if it wasn't for Dumbtoni, the Lakers will EASILY beat the Spurs in a 7-game series. In fact, I still think that the Lakers can beat the Spurs, and I ain't joking.

Pau is a great player, but I don't go into these backdoor shenanigans with great players like Kobestans do with Kobe. I am here to enjoy basketball, not discuss -erotic fantasies with Kobe lovers.

Oh amb no need to get sensitive CN is a big boy he can fend for himself. I enjoy our dialogue just asking you to be honest. You can have a thread war with Deuce or whomever but just admit it to me on PM ...we will have our Duncan/Achilles dance someday but not if you can't admit that because what would be the point? I just find it cute you hide your hate in the numbers but when you write that hate is so visceral ...you are like Brothers Mouzone' s boy Lamar hinting for Omar in a gay bar. The disgustis so visceral.

I don't think my writing spews of hate, but the numbers are the numbers, and I can't really change them. What am I am supposed to do? Cherry pick stats and fudge the numbers to make Kobe look better? It's not my style.

When you factor in 00 WCF Game 7 where he led the Lakers in pts, reb, ast, and blks (25-11-7-4 on 9-19) and 02 WCF Game 7 where he had 30-10-7 on 10-26, he's not that bad as you make it out to be.

    Not sure about that.

    Kobe has 3 sidekick rings.

But it's a team game, and pippen had Jordan.

Besides, you can make a case Kobe actually has 5 sidekick rings. Just check his win shares.

I was talking about an entire career. Magic was undoubtedly the top dog in 2 of the 5, probably 3 of the 5 ships. Kobe was pseudo 1st in two of the 5

Actually, you have a point. The advanced numbers are telling me Gasol was clearly better than him in 2010. 2009 is Kobe's only real le as the best player on his team. Though I wouldn't call that much of an accomplishment considering how weak the compe ion was that year(lol Nuggets, lol Magic)
