Dwight Howard was doomed to have a short run. His game is based solely on his explosive athleticism. Unlike guys like Duncan and Kobe, Howard was not going to age like a fine wine. He was going to age like milk.
I'm going to go the other way and say it's just begun...in LA. Whether it leads to anything, that's another story. But Kobe is on the way out and someone has to lead the team.

If I'm a Laker fan, the prospect of Dwight Howard one day replacing Kobe as the Face of the Franchise would horrify me.
He's been the best defensive player in the NBA the past few weeks, which was expected as his health improved, but he's probably too mentally weak to lead a team to a le..I think it could change if he hooks up with Phil next year, though..
