You did believe in him more than anybody else, but you quit on him, which is something a real fan wouldn't do, tbh..no more room on the bandwagon..
I've always been on Bonner's side. He is breaking through with the playoff series I always knew he could have. He is our best low-post 1-on-1 defender, and our best catch and shoot 3-pt shooter. I stuck with him, and even though early this season I thought he was done, he is thriving at the exact right time. Great job Matt Bonner. I believed in you when no one else did.

He is our best low-post 1-on-1 defender![]()
you lost me at "best low post defender"
Is there an advanced stat for when defenders are isolated on a post-up what the PER is for the offensive player?
And yes, our best low post defender.
i actually remember a couple of seasons ago there was a metric that showed Bonner gave up less ppp on post ups than our other bigs. tbh that season we were comparing him to s of Tim Duncan and Blair. TD's resurgence past couple of seasons has ended that flukey stat
You just jinxed it... thanks a lot.

Luke Bonner, is that you?![]()
According to Synergy Sports, in post-up isolation situations, Matt Bonner gives up the lowest FG% in the entire team.
So in that sense, yes, he is our best post-up defender.
Thank you.
This further proves the majority of you are trolls and don't hold a candle to me.
I'll give Solid D credit for saving this thread.
Pretty sure Duncan goes up against better compe ion, so no it doesn't.
Sorry...this thread goes in the "Throwing Against the Wall Until One Finally Sticks" forum. Mods please move. Thanks.
maybe you missed the game tonight, cause you obviously didn't see that Bonner did work against Dwight Howard.
gtfo, one game does not make up for 6 years of failure. You can't come in here after Bonner finally has a decent game after years of trash and say I told you so. let's see if he can put a couple more games like these together in future rounds
OP quit on Bonner, OP quit on RMJ... OP has no room to ask for credits
Does he typically guard the best starting big as much as lets say Tim Duncan?
