Am I the only one that thinks this? I mean this is one of the least compe ive first rounds in recent years. Stern should be ashamed of himself and the product that he is putting out on the floor for NBA fans and casual bag NBA fans. There are 8 series going on right now in the NBA playoffs and only two of them are tied 1-1 right now.
Denver-Golden State has all the ingredients to be one of the most entertaining first round series of the last few years, imho.
Denver/GSW is going to be good. Memphis/Clippers will be a good one too. hopefully Spurs can knock off lakers soon. I imagine Stern has a couple tricks in his bag for that one, but I like how the Spurs are playing right now.
there are a couple series in the East that are good, but ultimately Miami is going to the Finals so it's hard to get excited.
but overall, there is this feeling of Thunder vs Heat, Rocky 2 remake. the game is getting too predictable under Stern, been that way for awhile. Hopefully Spurs can surprise some of us (myself included).
that's like saying a prime tyson looks good beating up a re ed 12 year old girl.
game 3's tend to be exciting. okc-houston will be fun to watch, same with clippers/grizz. every game of the GS-Den series is must-watch at this point. but yeah, thats about it. eastern conference is a complete snooze-fest
Well, thank you for comparing prime Tyson to us then.
Your right, I agree, Dallas would have been a much more exciting team to watch lose as a 7th or 8th seed. All the ing Cuban would have done would be much more entertaining than Kobe's tweets, for sure! Sadly, I'm actually being serious. The Lakers will be put down like Old Yeller, take solace in that Mav fan.

Milwaukee will win a game. Their fans are going to be loud and proud in the great state of Wisconsin. That will lead the Bucks to a victory.
Okay, I was very wrong about the first round. I got caught up in the first couple of games of each series and assumed it was going to be a suckfest. Excluding the 2 sweeps, it has been pretty interesting. Well, the Hawks-Pacers series has been awful and downright terrible to watch.
If the Rockets happen to pull off a miracle then the Final Four in the WC might be the most mediocre of all-time.
I would love a Grizzlies-Spurs WCF mainly because Stern and casual bag NBA fans don't give a about those teams.
It's round 1.
There's at least one series that's genuinely interesting and some that are watchable.
GS - DEN is an epic series and it's going 7.
Clips - Grizz is amusing to watch, Clips are going to get backdoored and are going to implode in the off-season.
Boston - Knicks always good television when two teams loath each other and the teams being full of impulsive knuckleheads.
the first round of the playoffs is as good as it can be tbh:
la took it in the ass as expected, from the spurs non the least so on spurstalk this is an optimal result. if we add the kobe injury to the playoffs (couple of days really) only a spurs le would make the 2013 playoffs more rewording.
gsw and denver is a very nice no defense series, entertaining to watch.
houston has a very legit chance to elliminate cho-k-c and chimpbrook went down for the playoffs so that's quality entertainment
grizzlies vs clippers: posting up monkeys left and right.
bucks made the playoffs .. entertaining in itself i believe
celtics might back door assram the knicks and are in the process of exposing them as a 3pt chucking team .. games went to the wire and baggery abounds.
atlanta indiana is nice from a coaching pov since they have so many offensively inept players they really need to run alot of plays to get stuff going. spurfan probably appreciates indiana.
bulls brooklyn is just ole fashioned talent vs effort.
So i think till now the playoffs have been very nice.
btw, Xanax : you should step outside, it's a wonderful world.
OP just mad Mavs didnt make it
