For all we know this could help OKC. Durant will finally become the big 1 he's supposed to and Kmart and others will finally find their spot. This could be as advantageous as Kobe leaving LA.
I'll take it... of course getting by OKC will make getting destroyed by Miami that much more painful.

Wasn't a torn meniscus the injury kept Duncan out of the 2000 playoffs?
Yep, though it was more of Pop being paranoid with him, not wanting to risk anything.

dude, they said Celts is better without Rondo, they said Lakers are better without Kobe, they said Memphis is better without Gay... I'm just connecting the dots tbh
i hate chimpbrook, ihate okc and their ty fans. what I hate the most is how Stern protects them, that's really where my anger comes from.

still, tough blow to OKC. i don't root for injuries because i always think about something similar happening to one of our guys, so i'd prefer that aspect of the game not happen.

but unfortunately injuries do happen. the best you can do is try to minimize it like Pop does. hope for the best, play smart.

i'll try to be classy about this because I'm not a fan of injuries in general.

Agree with the OP. I hope Westbrook has a speedy recovery.

I know how I've felt each time Manu goes down, or when TP got injured, or when the scare happened with TD. Not a good day for OKC fans with this news coming out.

Karma is a , that's why idiots like Kobe and Westbrook are going down... Cp3 is next and once we eliminate Dwight, the playoffs will be bag free for he most part. Nobody roots for injuries, but I never heard any sympathy for us all these past years when we've dealt with em.

At least it's not a career ending injury like we thought Duncan's was.

Yeah. I think that's the silver lining for OKC fans in all of this.

Health is Wealth.. Pop managed get his quartet Duncan, Manu, Parker & Kawhi maybe not all 100% but on the floor & ready in this playoffs.
He's been there before with Manu. Kobe, Amare', Westbrook, Rose (confirmed ready to go but we don't know if it's fear or just being diva)... This is just a matter of who will be the last team standing in the end. That's why TMac is here. The Insurance, just in case. Because Pop sees he can easily adapt if something like that happens again...(knock on wood ).

I feel sorry for OKC. And their fans. But there's always next time. Maybe they can pull this through if somebody steps up. Hard to imagine how but hey Durant is still kicking.

I heard there's something wrong with Wade too. He's day to day and will have treatment on Friday. Miami is not all about LeBron, it's Wade's court too. They cannot be a dominant team is one of them is out.

Wade twisted his ankle in the 1st half vs Bucks...

I seriously hate this. Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY that I know that watches or are actual fans of basketball think I'm full of it for believing that Spurs can beat this year's Thunder. Now we'll never know with this injury. I am probably just as pissed as Thunder fans are

In the NBA, you are one size 16 foot or one chop-down on the ball or one elbow away from being injured. Spurs fans understand this concept as well...or better...than any set of fans. You go with what you have and make the best of it.

Spurs fans know "what if" all too well.

Stay classy, my ass. Spurs fans have dealt with injuries derailing every season but last (though Duncan's injury in '00 more than makes up for that) since their last championship and no one's ever felt sorry for them. On the contrary, many have taken shots and made fun of them in the process. Now that the shoe is finally on the other foot, we're supposed to feel sorry for them? Not a chance. It's about damn time it happened to the Lakers and them.

I'm not happy that Westbrook is hurt.

Everyone on here who is happy should remember the feeling if one of our big three gets hammered tonight by Howard or MWP out of sheer frustration.

    It could happen.

Just for the record, I said the Spurs would beat OKC if both teams were healthy. Obviously this hurts OKC's chances if he's out for an extended period of time. , they may not get out of 2nd round.

Spurs got this. Already putting some money aside for Finals tickets tbh. Your gay french ass can stay in the corner cowering, Ill be up front repping my Spurs all the way to the Finals.

You guys are way ahead of yourselves even dreaming about finals right now. Last year if he got hurt yeah, this year we are far away from the WCF.
