The lakers shooting is horrible. I was at a game sitting next to Kawhie Leonard's agent. He said the secret to the Spur's success is their shooting coach.

He said his client couldn't shoot a lick. The Spur's corrected his flaws.

That whole team shoots light"s out.

Kawhis shot has come so far in such a short amount of time....it's damn near perfect form...he just needs to pick his spots better, and that will come..love that they are posting him more now, also.

Didn't jax have a finger issue on his shooting hand? If so, that can throw off the best of scorers..

Kawais mid range is starting to look pretty good. I can't wait to see him get more time handling the rock tbh.

That sandy vagina of a moderator 24 banned me again from LG. Really basic "Kobe was beta to Shaq" trolling is enough to get them to ban. Their fragile psyches can't handle it

One user said he'd take Kobe Bryant over Kevin Durant. Now. As in 2012-2013.

they're gone. I can't even imagine Magic Johnson getting such cult like adoration, and he's far more deserving. I really can't explain it.

The funny thing is a lot of them actually hate Magic. Most people on LG are bandwagon and/or younger fans who started watching during the Kobe/Shaq era, so they're not emotionally invested in Magic and what he brought to the franchise.

They don't like Magic because he's brutally honest about the Lakers' chances. When Magic revised his original Spurs/Lakers prediction and said that the Spurs would probably sweep or win in 5, LG went nuts.

But yeah, the cult obsession with Kobe Bryant is borderline frightening and oddly entertaining at the same time

I remember during the early 00's when the Spurs and Mavs were heated rivals. Those Mavs teams could shoot really well, from field goals to free throws. I remember on one nationally televised game the guys calling the game talked about how they had a shooting coach on the team, a coach that just taught how to shoot well. I remember being jealous that we didn't have a coach that did that because at the time we weren't the best shooting team and we stunk at free throw shooting. Then a couple years later they signed Chip and I remember being so happy.

Magic will always be in my top 3-5 favorite players. I don't regret being a hardcore laker fan as a kid, being from Cali I loved Showtime Lakers. but somewhere in time they changed or I changed, or both.

Kobe is like 1/10th the leader and teammate that Magic was, and that might be generous.

I think the cult aspect comes from the fact that Kobe is basically a sociopath, and he is incredibly manipulative at getting what he wants, creating an entire image or nickname. The media is guilty for buying into it so easily. You're right, it's both sad and hilarious to see how so many fight for him, even though most of his teammates hate him.

He gets that from his Dad, Jellybean Joe Bryant, who was a gifted player in Philly but never could become Alpha with Philly, nor when he was in San Diego as a Clipper. It was when he moved to Italy, is where he finally got to be Alpha, his Beta Dog on that team was Mike D'Antoni. But yeah, Bean fits the Hero Ball mentality that the 4-letter craves so much that they push that to the masses as if that is they way it should be done.
I always wonder why the 4-letter is so gung-ho to talk about Coach K and Duke Basketball when Coach Pop and the Spurs play very similarly, but the words they use for both teams are so, so different.
