I was wondering if it's just been me. The first round this year has sucked tremendously.
Just to play devils advocate. Lakers were 22-8 in their last 30 games, thats good for a .733% Winning percentage, pretty good. Dwight and Gasol were finding their rhythm, Kobe was shooting lights out. Jamison was playing like a man on mission. Blake found his rhythm and the return of Nash was supposed to give them another shooter and ball handler. They won 9 out of their last 10 going into the playoffs, it looked like they finally flicked that playoff switch.
The Spurs/ Lakers series is supposed to be the best in the playoffs, now we're all watching the Lakers disintegrate piece by piece which is both amusing and disappointing since we're robbed off a potential great series.
Would the outcome be any different? Or is it still going to be a sweep by the Spurs?
Sorry, I'm freaking bored as and all the playoff series has been ho-hum so far.
I was wondering if it's just been me. The first round this year has sucked tremendously.
Very hard question for me to answer, I think talent wise they definitely COULD beat SA but Greg Popovich owns Mike D'antoni. I really think D'antoni is that bad of a coach, but to be fair I was saying that since he got hired.
No not at all. The playoffs blows so far. A lot of predictable outcome tbh.
Spurs to sweep the Lakers
Denver to beat GSW
Heat to sweep the Bucks
Atlanta and Indiana? Please...I'd rather watch River Monsters.
Chicago-NJ, yawn.
OKC- Houston. It had potential but the referees ruined it for me in Game 2
The only series I'm looking forward to watch besides LAC-MEM is NYK and Boston but the Celtics looks like they're done in 5 games.
a scrub steve blake is already giving parker trouble, a healthy blake would destroy the frenchie into fetus position ready for the **** punch abortion,
but it all depends on that dog of a **** kome if his willing to sacrifice personal stats for the greater goal to have team mates involve
lakers without that hero **** plays basketball the way its meant to be played....
spurs would still sweep the lakers anyway healthy or not
The Lakers margin of victory in March and April was +1.2, with a well-do ented, historic officiating advantage..
I don't know why people think they "got it together"..they were barely winning most of these games, despite heavy officiating bias(which has been do ented)..
Healthy but without Kobe they would have a shot.
Thread/end.
If the Lakers were completely and utterly healthy (including Kobe and Nash both at 100%), they might have pushed the spurs to 6 games. The problem is Mr. Pringles and no young talent on the Lakers bench. MDA would have Kobe, Nash, Pau and Dwight all playing as close to 48 minutes as possible... Dwight and maybe Pau might be able to handle that but certainly not Kobe or Nash... They would have won the first game, maybe even the second... but again, Mr. Pringles is the coach... The guy that loves a 7 man rotation... He would have worn them out and in the end the Spurs would take it either way.
MDA doesn't understand the basic concept of the playoffs.... its a war of attrition not of impact. He likes to blow his load early thinking to smash through, while the other team just needs to weather the initial storm and rope-a-dope the sucker.... he falls for it every single time.
I dont know but its starting to be reminiscent of the Rockets' "If McGrady and Yao ever get healthy..."
Older players are much more susceptible to injury. Odds are the simply wont get "healthy" and even if they do it wont last for long.
You're overrating the Nuggets son.
Regarding the OP question. If both healthy, Spurs in 5 or 6.
If they were healthy, Bryant would shoot the ball 30 times a game and score 29 points, then point fingers at everybody but himself when they lose.
wgaf?!
They are not ...we gonna get swept Semifinals should be much better ..
All the barely got in teams: Rox, Lakers, Bucks, Hawks etc will be fishing
fact is they had to win those games to secure a playoff spot and the league would do everything to help them achieve that. 's a fair sign of the game being manipulated imho
Warriors/Nuggets & Clippers/Grizzlies have been pretty damn entertaining actually.
we would win the championship. who the cares we are not healthy, stupid ass thread
When your success rate is 25% for entertaining games; it's not guck good.
Better than 0%, after all last year there weren't that many entertaining first round matchups aside from Lakers/Nuggets & clippers/Grizzlies
Touché; damn the state of the league makes me depressed.
