Thread quit
Gotta put my big boy pants on and congrats Spurs fans, in the offseason many of us laughed at the small markets that made no moves. Atlas, you guys laugh at us in the end. With Jim Buss taking over, it may very well be the end of an era for the Lakers organization from being elite, my worst of all nightmares is coming true.
Thread...you might want to come in this thread and apologize for all the you talked Mr. Trend Setter.
But I thought only pussies and assholes quit?
Yuuuuuppppp
You do realize Cully's response to this complete ownage of his team would just be to spam The Count in every thread, right?![]()
Thanks. You guys were depleted beyond belief, but that was a direct result of Jimmy and Mitch's decision making.
Singing Nash and hiring D'Antoni might be the two worst moves in Lakers history. Recipe for disaster.
Also, the regular season set the Lakers up for failure. Spurs missed as many games played by their stars yet won enough to be a 2nd seed. Just tough luck LA drew the Spurs.
Neither are as bad as the ridiculous extension they gave to Kirby...
Apparently you and midnight forget the disastrous super star contract they gifted Luke Walton in 2004 which destroyed the Lakers from 04-07.
And obviously the Lakers org didn't learn from that
Yeah. That was
Also trading Caron for Kwame. Terrible at the time. But wound up being a blessing a disguise since Kwame's expiring contract led to Pau's acquisition.
Thank you
I'm Interested in what Lakers are gonna do in the off season. If they dont dump some contracts and try to sign Dwight to another contract, they are looking at a HUGE luxury tax.
Losing in the playoffs always sucks. On the bright side, you can now move on from this nightmare season and turn your attention to less depressing subjects.![]()
I wish we would have played a healthy team tbh. Winning against the team we played wasn't the same as one with Kobe. You guys need to dump DH this offseason, hes a cancer to the Lakers.
It's depressing to see how far we've fallen off since 2010, and saying goodbye to Kobe ultimately after 17 years (if that happens). But I think this season wasn't depressing, it was kind of a tragic comedy.
How do you feel about the possibility of Lakers amnestying Kobe? I realize hes a lifelong Laker but is he worth paying 30million if hes not healthy next year. Perhaps the money they would spend in luxury tax doesn't seem like much compared to how much money Kobe generates in ticket and gear revenue if they keep him. At what point do they decide to rebuild.
Who else can smell the skunk?
Congrats spur fan, you beat our all star bench, but a win is a win.
I wonder myself what the Lakers should do...I think a better question is IF Kobe will want to work his ass off to come back next year to a rookie level team. Somehow, I feel what's going to happen is Lakers will get rid of Pau, Nash, and even lose Howard and Kobe will decide to retire because of that decision.
Fine I'll give you that one but I'll take this one:::
Spurs 4
Lakers 0
Props. Unlike some got Laker fans still being butthurt.![]()
I had a bunch of friends over for game 7 Lakers\Celtcs in 2010. After they won we celeberated, and I turned to my Laker friends and said,"That's the last one we are gonna see for Kobe and the Lakers for a looooong time." They disagreed, and felt Lakers would win 2011 or 2012. I could have easily been wrong about that, but I think for me, that's why this is easier because it was obvious to me that the team was about to get old and disband.
But you have the best center in the league?
