Kobe had three season to prove he was worth all the ridiculous media hype and he failed miserably. after he ran Shaq out of town and before he cried to Stern about wanting a trade that sent the Lakers Gasol and other all star players that year, Kobe led the Lakers to two first round knockouts and didn't even make the playoffs one of those years. for an overall record of 121-125.
bottom line .... when Kobe isn't given special treatment from the officials he ain't . when Kobe doesn't have an All Star big man to do most of the REAL WORK (not just cute/fancy plays for ESPN's top 10 highlight reel) he ain't .
The league has been treating their basketball reasons payments like Nash and Dwight treat their child support payments, tbh
its the damn truth. look no one is doubting that Dwight isn't a great player. however he is nowhere near the talent that the media has tried desperately to tell us he is.
it all boils down to $$$$ .... the NBA looks for whoever can sell the product the best and they run with it.
