$30 million reasons he'll stay. Lakers will improve next year. Hard to believe the leagues most popular franchise will stay put. Even if they get the wrong pieces again, make no mistake, they will make some changes. Jim Buss reminds me of Dan Snyder's Redskins. Too much power but has no clue how to run a successf franchis.

But I believe they're stuck in mediocrity for the next 2-3 seasons. 2nd seed is their ceiling in this timeframe tbh.
improve at what? pringles still coach will continue to play his 7 man rotation, leaving goldilocks and morris burried on the bench again....

I know for a fact that there are people in Dwight Howard's life trying to sell him on Houston. But like I said, I think he stays in L.A.

Posted: Sun Apr 28, 2013 5:08 pm Post subject: Campaign 2013-2014: Kobe, player coach.

Chick used to say that Jerry West and Magic were not suited to the head coaching position because of their impatience and demand for perfection. Kobe has those same qualities to overcome, but I think he is a much more patient person with his teammates and you can see it on the sidelines.

I think when D'Antoni steps down during next season, Kobe would be a perfect fit. The F O won't have to pay another coach's salary. Kobe will not be able to play the minutes he's used to. But most importantly, he knows this game better than anyone his age and he exceeds many older than he.

People will disagree. Let the discussions begin.

I hope so, I'm gonna have him on my prayers tonight, except I'll pray he's gone. He's a disgrace to real Superstars

LOL if Kobe ever player-coached someone would def. pull a Sprewell on his ass...only difference is the other players would join in and then they'd dump the body off the Santa Monica Pier

So can we acknowledge Dwight was correct with all his worries and not wanting to go to LA last summer? Maybe not as stupid a monkey as we thought?

guy will pick money over winning. lakers are a dying franchise now and if he ever wants to WIN something he should leave LA for a real contender, but he'll almost certainly re-sign with the lakers for the sake of money.

That's why when Shanny came aboard he assumed all power and player movement. Danny just does the money now so that example is outdated tbh. We have toned down on the big FA spendings and have had 3 strong drafts in a row

Truth. Can't turn the ball over from the free throw line. So is Matty Ice the new Howard stopper?

Well yeah, the skins are better now, I was talking about the Skins when they were signing big names and each season were a failure.

But even if Dwight leaves them. It could be the best thing for the Lakers. Dwight would want that extra year, so a sign and trade deal could net the Lakers some talent back.

Sign anf trades don't work like that anymore. He's either a Laker or he walks.

I can't believe how much Howard has ruined his stock in a single year.
