Pretty awesome on his part - it's pretty silly this is still a sport.
This incredible photo marks the end of Matador Torero Álvaro Múnera’s career. He collapsed in remorse mid-fight when he realized he was having to prompt this otherwise gentle beast to fight. He went on to become an avid opponent of bullfights. Even grievously wounded by picadors, he did not attack this man.
Torrero Munera is quoted as saying of this moment: “And suddenly, I looked at the bull. He had this innocence that all animals have in their eyes, and he looked at me with this pleading. It was like a cry for justice, deep down inside of me. I describe it as being like a prayer - because if one confesses, it is hoped, that one is forgiven. I felt like the worst on earth.”

That...sport??....should be abolished. Here in the US /dog fighters do some serious time if busted, as of right now the penalty must be nothing much. I'm talking 10 years.
Way back when Mexico still owned California the Mexicans would capture Bears (must have been tons of them, because there are tons of them now) to fight the bulls in the arenas of Mexico. I'm guessing black bears, don't see how they could capture a grizzley. And a grizzley would totally destroy a bull.

The killing of any animal is horrific whether you're eating it or not. Deer Hunting, Fishing, Dove hunting. Not a sport. Now despite that, im not stopping either id die if i couldnt fish lol

So the article is legit(sort of), but the caption is unrelated. Not so different from mainstream media imo. Wouldn't be so bad, but the caption happens to portray some asshole "acting" before he delivers the killing blow. Nonetheless, the picture is effective.

While familiar with the bear vs bull battles, all us Cali-ites are, I wasn't schooled on it.

I could kill a black bear with a hunting knife. A grizzly would destroy a bull.
Used to be a rasslin' black bear that went around to carnivals taking on all comers. Yes all muzzled and nails clipped. Big farm boys stood no chance. I seriously doubt any human could have handled him.

dude already killed countless bulls through his career only to entertain the audiences, must feel guilty of what he's done to those poor animals tbh.
