That's what happens when you know who is making the finals before the f'n season starts. Okay that's a lie because everybody thought the Lakers were and well.......yeah

Wouldnt you too if you dropped 10 mil on the supposed best big in the league that's the last true 5 combined with a historic ball handling genius that is Nash and the next best MJ in Kobe? the NBA is a joke, and not even a Cuban can lift my spirits. I'm off to bed.
Probably Kobe would put 10-15 point on Mills-DeColo duo, and Lakers would lose only by 13 or so.
took the bait![]()
Winning the championship = pushing the Spurs to 6 games before getting knocked the out.![]()
slayin es right now tbh
You're a ing idiot and a bag.
Older players aren't more susceptible to injury, they just take longer to recover.
lots of medical advancements now days, but i disagree, i think if you are older you are more susceptible to injury, its just nature, especially when you are working your body that hard for a long period of time, eventually its just the "wear and tear", only so much you can do.
22-8 is overrated, refs escorted their ass all the way through the process
The playoffs have been mostly boring so far, but there are two interesting series: Nuggets/Warriors and Clippers/Grizzlies. Since I'm a a Spurs fan, the Spurs/Lakers series has been very "interesting" to the extent that it's fun watching the Lakers crumble.
You truly are a moron.
all things being equal, i think the spurs still win. nash becomes a spot up shooter, 'antoni is still 'antoni, kobe is still kobe.
but i'm glad it played out like it did. if the lakers are able to keep the game close, something like .4 or the fisher no-call against barry starts to happen, and the tide turns.
usually i'd rather face a team at full strength. but karma has finally caught up to the lakers. an embarrassing meltdown on national tv is the perfect ending to the laker dynasty of the last decade.
Healthy at the beginning of the playoffs, they still lose to the Spurs but likely put up more of a fight to push it to as many as 6 games.
But if they were completely healthy all season long, there may have been a chance for the team to gain the appropriate chemistry to be a better team by the playoffs. And maybe if they were healthy all season long, the front office would have figured out that Dwight Howard simply isn't the game changer they wanted and traded him at the deadline. A full 82 games where Nash, Kobe, Gasol, and the emergence of Earl Clark could have grown together under D'Antoni's system may have been something more interesting by the time of the playoffs.
Age and Sports Injuries
Another important issue for older athletes is that of injury. Statistically, older athletes are much more likely to injure themselves than younger athletes who are doing the same sport.

You can shut the up forever now.
Now that we know that the Spurs are fairly healthy see parker, tony and ginobili, manu. Outcome will be the same but in 5 or 6 if thunder were to fall twice at the same place.
A healthy Howard is absolutely a game-changer, tbh..
When he's healthy, he's by far the best defender and rebounder in the NBA, no other player is close..
Not the gamechanger for the Lakers, especially once they hired D'Antoni.
Sure, but if he's healthy to start the season, Lakers keep Mike Brown and a healthy Howard would thrive in his defensive, grind-out system, tbh..
A healthy Lakers team would have been the 5th best team in the West IMO, same tier as the Clippers and Grizzlies..
How would the Spurs fared in the second half of the season, if they had been healthy? Lakers 28-13 after gaining they health before losing it again. Spurs 28-13 with Timmy, TP and Manu missing games in the second half of the season. Also, Pop resting players. Lakers would have won a game or 2 if lucky in the 1st round, but they were not going to win the series.
Torn labrum aside, I think Howard's back is healed and healthy.
I believe the surgery permanently took a few percentage points off his athleticism.
It was also the most unimpressive "28-13" I've seen in a long time. Lakers still looked like garbage, even when they were winning. They were very fortunate to play against few good teams during that span, not to mention all the teams they beat helmed by black coaches.
weren't the Lakers 8-14 when Dwight/Pau/Kobe/Nash all played?
