anyone know if this is legit, tbh?
Also, they keep saying that David called Tim. No, he left Hawaii in the middle of his vacation to convince him to stay face to face. Or is my memory completely off base here.
Well, it was widely reported in the media at the time. Doc Rivers was the Orlando coach and Tim asked him (reportedly) if she could travel with him to away games, and the answer was no.
How much that figured in the decision? Don't know. But did it happen? Yes, I believe it did.
100% true Doc Rivers wouldn't allow Duncan's wife to travel with the team........................................Whoops ie
Yet Kobe can sub himself in and out of games![]()
Funny , Tim went in to meet Pop with his agent Babby, and then told him he was going to Orlando. Then when Pop turned pale Duncan said he was just kidding and that he was staying.
Such a great part of the Tim to ORL story ^
Yeah, Pop's response after Tim said he was kidding was something along the lines of "I need a drink"![]()
I think you're correct. There's probably a thread here about it somewhere.
On the flip side, Duncan called Pop. He didn't say that to his face. He called Pop, and when Pop asked what his decision was, Duncan said, "There are no beaches in San Antonio..." Pop replied that there aren't beaches in Orlando, either. Then Duncan told him he was staying.
Duncan with T Mac and a healthy Grant Hill would've meant no les for Kirby and Shaq
all this proves is that Duncan lost his virginity in or around the year 2000![]()
Are Duncan and other Spurs players allowed to take their wives to away games ?
If Im not mistaken Tmac was signed once Duncan opted to stay. I think the original plan was a Duncan-Hill tandem.
Yes, that's correct. Orlando only had room for two max contracts (which started at $9.8 Million if I recall correctly,). They signed McGrady as a fallback option, although Hill and McGrady had been trying to get on the same team before that.
But Grant Hill's ankle was already ground to powder by that point, so it would really have meant no les for Timmy.
