Yeah I don't think there's going to be much delay to get the next round started. I think they usually get a 1-2 day break if both series are decided quicker than the rest. Lets hope every series stretches into 7 games...
Assuming GSW closes it out next game, when would Round 2 start at the earliest? Same question in case GSW-DEN goes 6 or 7 games? I know the Spurs had series starting the day after the previous one finishes.

My guess would be that Game 1 of the next round takes place approximately 48 hours after the GSW/DEN series is over.
So Thursday if it's over tonight, Sunday if it's over after Game 6 (due to the 10.30pm ET start on Thursday), and as late as Monday if there's a Game 7.
I'm merely speculating though.
The NBA's website says that earliest date for a second round game is May 6th:

One of the local stations said the earliest OUR series would start would be Saturday the 4th. It makes sense if GS were to close out tonight. I don't think they will, BTW.
Thanks. Clear, dependable information. So our guys have at least one more week of rest, guaranteed.
Damn cant wait.
We should have everyone back and healthy for the WCSF, then. Great news!![]()
Usually the earliest second rounds start is on Saturday. So, unless the NBA has changed its scheduling, what is on their website isn't accurate.

I bought tickets for Round 2 game 2, since my boys have baseball games on the weekends and we won't know the Spurs start times. I wanted to pick the game with the best chance of being played during the week. The only problem is the start times when the Spurs play a West coast team. Monday - Friday home games will probably start at 8:30pm central.
As Groucho Marx said: "Who do you believe? Me, or your lying eyes?"from NBA.com: "May 7 -- Conference Semifinals begin (possible move-up to May 6)"
Could very well be. The first weekend in April is the 6th and 7th. Showing the earliest dates for Round 2 as May 6th and May 7th could be a simple mistake. Seems like ABC would be guaranteed at least two NBA games for Sunday, May 5th, whether they be a Game 7 or a Game 1.

Let's go Nuggets. Make Golden State a 6-game series at the least.
Nuggets will win tonight without a doubt... they are seething after the last two games.
So looking forward to watching this game! Go Nuggs Go!!
Sounds reasonable but the way GS (Curry) is shooting, it may not matter.

Spursnation is saying the usual 2 days after the final participant advances to the second round?
"Playoff series often, but not always, begin two days after the final participant advances. The Spurs split the regular season series 2-2 with both clubs. San Antonio will hold homecourt advantage, with Games 1, 2, 5 and 7 slated for San Antonio."
Can he really keep up that level of shooting for 3 games in a row?
GSW will end it tonight. They're shooters have too much confidence going into this game.
I'm still rooting for the Nuggets tonight, nonetheless. We all (or most of us) want a 6-7 game series out of this.
Per MYSA: NBA Spokesman states Saturday is the earliest 2nd round series would start for Spurs. I'd provide a link but I'm not that smart.
I don't think the league would move up the start of the Spurs' second round series to anytime earlier than Saturday. The biggest problem with moving up further than that becomes a reality if the Clippers and Grizzlies go 7 (as seems likely). If that series goes 7, it won't end until Sunday, meaning the other WCSF couldn't start until Tuesday May 7.
If the Spurs and Warriors were to start on, say, Thursday or Friday, the league would have to put a gigantic gap in the middle of that series -- or have multiple days off between multiple games in that series -- to ensure that the two semifinals would be scheduled to end on the same date, particularly given the high likelihood that the schedule would be intended to maximize the number of weekend games.
Saturday - Tuesday. Depending on the games
Ends in game 5 - Saturday start
Ends in game 6 - Sunday-Monday start
Ends in game 7 - Monday-Tuesday start.
Right. I just saw the post they had up for TODAY, hehehe. Saturday at the soonest.
