Maybe that's his motivation, maybe it isn't. I tend to think it isn't. I just don't see a Stanford grad who's already made 12 years of NBA money being that desparate for a new contract to where he'd be willing to put himself under such a huge microscope solely for the purpose of getting to make league minimum for another year or two. If he gets a contract he still has to walk into that locker room, he's still got to walk into an arena every game and listen to what the fans say. I think he's genuine in his motives.
