Will never make significant enough strides to be labeled a superstar (not even the best PF in the league today) Marc Gasol and Z Bo have eaten this alive in this series and have exposed his overall lack of skill in a grind it out playoff setting.
Will never be nothing more than a role player on a championship team ala Pau Gasol (with significantly lesser skill). Never a player you will be able to build your team around like a Duncan, Dirk, or even Garnett.
You'd have the same level of success building a team around Blake as Memphis did with Pau.
Marc Gasol won DPOY and is in all likelihood going to win 1st Team All-NBA averaging 14 - 8 - 4.
We have this notion that popularity and awards equate to skill, and people get super butthurt that the players who win awards and are talked about more aren't always all that great. Really it's just about ESPN pushing whatever narrative they choose. Accept that people like watching Griffin highlights.

I've been saying this for a long time
Doesn't suck, but very overrated and not worth the contract he has.. I actually liked him in his rookie year, before he was a flopper. But the guy is just overrated. He really struggles against those that are strong and have length to bother him. The only move he has is that unreliable spinning hook.
He's a good rebounder though. He's a good energy guy but is being paid way too much for what he brings to the table.
