YES, another dev has taken on the mantle for the One X+ and is developing a AOSPA + PA rom.

Got this 2 days ago.
Phone is amazing, highly recommend.
I convinced 5 friends with iphones to switch. Lol
750 a pop....fark
Too ing expensive, otherwise I'd sell my X+. Piece of is never getting CM10/AOSP ROMs.
Define amazing and what was your last phone?
In which aspects? Not buying a GS IV but I just want to know.
Last phone was an S2, so it is a pretty big leap.
Aesthetically, the phone feels very nice in hand (i do have big hands though), it's really light and looks a lot nicer than the S3 IMO.
The screen is incredible. Obviously the thing runs without lag and I've found the battery life to be really great. Call reception appears much improved over my S2. 4G is great.
For me, those are the important things - Battery life, screen quality, lightness and comfort in hand... the extra bits and pieces (smart scroll etc) are cool too.
GS4 is slightly superior in some ways, mainly some slightly superior specs as well as having a removable battery and SD card slot. but the HTC One is built of noticeably higher quality, has amazing speaker sound, and actually looks like a pretty phone.
Ideally, a combination of HTC build quality and speakers with S4 features and specs would be nice. Between the two, I'd still pick the S IV, unless the HTC One is S-OFF and releases its sources (I'm not sure). If I wanted a good phone that locks me down, I would've bought an iPhone.5.
from my understanding, there is far more development for the One than for previous HTC devices, and an official CM 10.1 build should be out shortly for it
If that's the case I might have to take a look at it, tbh. Only concern is that the 4MP camera is simply underkill, even though it has a good low-light sensor. And of course, I've still got a bad taste in my mouth from the X+.
same here My EVO4gLTE was garbage, I'm on number 4. Probably going to stay with this until google motorola decide to get off their ass and make a damn phone
Why on earth do phone speakers dazzle you? To me, they're kinda like TV speakers. They're pretty useless, they're tinny, and they're always hooked up to an AV receiver. Do you seriously listen to your phone speakers that much? I've maybe heard mine a handful of times on any of my smart phones that I've had about a total of 4-5 years. Maybe its just me.
Anyway, I'm torn on getting a new phone or a tablet. I'm leaning towards a tablet because they're pretty much the same thing except for size. There's a few apps that I'd like to use on a tablet than a phone. I'm also leaning towards a 7" tablet simply because of price. Not really interested o n paying anywhere $400 on one. Any suggestions?
can't beat the nexus 7 from a value standpoint
The ASUS one?
Yup, best 7" tablet you can buy. If you're looking at 10", it's probably still the iPad on top (but there are some good android alternatives).
What are those alternatives?
Do you have ASUS tab?
I'd actually hold off on getting a Nexus 7 now, with Google I/O just around the corner. Rumor is that an upgraded Nexus 7 will be unveiled then.
That being said, it's a damn good 7-inch tablet, especially for the price.
1) The Nexus 10 is probably the best non-iPad option out there when it comes to 10-inch tablets.
2) The ASUS TF300 and TF700 Transformer tablets are also worth considering, because of the keyboard dock option. However, if you're not looking to get the dock, the Nexus 10 is the better choice by far.
Yup I had a Nexus 7 for a week or so
I returned it because I dont really need a tablet
So even though its a great tablet for the price, I still couldnt justify paying ofr it
But yeah, great device TBH, especially for the price
