The OverFly Playoffs!
The remaining WC bracket:
MEM*
OKC*
SAS*
GSW
*denotes a small market team in the Central Time Zone.
The OverFly Playoffs!
On the other hand, likely two teams from NYC in the semis.
Does that means refs wont be biased to any side in the west, from now ?
Thought I'd fix that for you.![]()
Unless Stern sees Memphis as the '99 Spurs.
Which way would that cut?
Team mentality/hard work/defense wins games/fighting spirit etc..
OKC may be small market but they're Stern's darlings since they have a top 4 superstar in the league in Durant
Durant by himself isn't enough to advance any further. Memphis is going to push that Meth-lahoma bad next round.
Or not. lol again, Stern.
And don't underestimate the importance of stern's man crush on clay bennett and his inlaws, the gaylords. Considering gaylord's love affair with nashville, wouldn't be surprised if the thunder got the midnight ride 685 miles east on I-40 ala the baltimore colts, and became the new nashville team.
lol, wut? Memphis is barely a viable Market. Nashville would epic fail.
Nashville already has two big league teams. I guess a third one could tip the town over. I don't really care about Nashville, but that is gaylords honey hole.

A second NBA franchise wouldn't work that close to Memphis. They'd be cannibalizing each other's fan bases in such a small state.
Meh, unless the east gets drastically better in the coming years, he's got LBJ to ride for a while. Plus, East Coast fans find it hard to stay up to watch the west coast games as is despite it being the vastly superior Confernece. Not sure how many tuned in at 10:45 to watch many of the games from the Warrior-Nuggets series.
Miami isn't that big of a market. Their bandwagon isn't NEAR as full as, say, the Kobe Lakers of the last decade. Jack isn't sitting courtside in Miami.
No LA teams past the first round. One of two NY teams advances.
lol, Stern. ASG 2014 can't come soon enough, you ing curmudgeon.
How is Golden State not a small market team? They're in ing Oakland.
Uh, Oakland is right across the bay from San Francisco, which is not a small market by any stretch of the imagination.
It seems to me for basketball it is anyways.
Not for long. He's ing GONE after All Star weekend 2014. THANK GOD.
