    San Antonio>Baton Rouge tbh
umm no not really. although both are pretty ty. they are pretty even, with BR getting a slight edge. lets break it down ...

    LSU > UTSA

LSU Football alone > San Antonio Spurs basketball

Tiger Stadium > vacant Alamo Dome

San Antonio Mexicans > Baton Rouge black folk

3 casinos including 1 luxury resort > the smallest/worst SeaWorld park in the U.S.

Dirty little creek river walk > Mississippi River levee

Baton Rouge food > San Antonio food

Baton Rouge downtown - San Antonio downtown = likely a draw, neither that impressive

Anyone who has been to Houston knows what a hole some parts became post Katrina but San Antonio was able to eject most of theirs to God knows where. Texas did pretty much say no more of that the next time a hurricane hit NO though
You ting me? The NE side, especially the Walzem and Thousand Oaks areas are still riddled with Katrina nomads. Mind you the area was pretty bad beforehand anyway, but it's ridiculous how much worse it's gotten.

Sounds about right, except for those two. San Antonio also has plenty of good German food tbqh.

son LSU football is one of the top five most popular and profitable programs in the country. the stadium will soon be expanded to hold well over 100,000 fans per game. not to mention the fact that even when they play ty teams like Tulane or North Texas, the tickets in the very upper levels still sell for at least $20-40.

Now in San Antonio on the other hand with the Spurs playing in a 18,000 seat venue, you can still get damn good PLAYOFF tickets for around .50 cents to about $10.00.

I'm not talking about from a pure economic standpoint. When it comes to comparing football and basketball, football will always win out in that case. I'm talking general success.

    Cajun food > anything Mexican

even two of the most popular restaurants in San Antonio (Pat O'Brien's and Ruth's Chris Steak House) are Louisiana based restaurants and neither of them are "Cajun" food.

Ehh, have to say Mexican and Cajun are two of the best type of foods in the world; pointless to say one is better than the other.

hate to admit it but LSU is one of the finest in this country and is better than anything that's based in the state of texas imho. your best university is based in houstn which says a lot about the mediocrity of education in this state tbh

general success? LSU football, baseball, etc. have all had great success. you measure success by the overall product and what it brings to your city/state. I'm willing to bet that LSU athletics brings in more revenue than all of UTSA athletics and Spurs basketball combined.

its not bad, but that's fine if you only want to count it as a bar. we can just call it one of the most popular bars on the San Antonio River Walk. cheers...

I'm talking about from a sheer compe iveness standpoint. The LSU product has produced thousands (millions?) of graduates, including athletes, that have prolly gone on to lead somewhat successful lower to middle-class lives while UTSA's diplomas have about as much worth as the paper you use to wipe your ass.

However, when it comes to the accomplishments of LSU football and the Spurs, they're equals but I give the slight edge to the Spurs due to more championships.

son even if you're referring to just wins, losses, and championships then LSU still has the edge . however lets look at it a bit closer...

    LSU Football

    3 National Championships

14 Conference Championships (vs 13 other teams in conference)

    All Time Record: 743-392-47 (.648)
