LHN.
Black, white, mobile, pocket, first round, third round it doesn't matter.......they can't win playoff games.
RG3 for as great a season he had, couldn't get to the playoffs.
Everyone else just flat sucks. Any theories?
My bad. Forgot RG3 couldn't get past the hawks.
They won the division and he was a big part of the 4th ranked offense in the NFL?
They were up 14-0 too against dem hawks and moving the ball easily until he got pushed out of bounds and tweaked his knee.
Simms, Vince and Colt came before the LHN.
them sucking can be solely attributed to the coddle factor in Austin.
But the rest? Bradford, Tannehill, Freeman, Blaine, etc...... Pure uncoddled losers
Ok. So injury for one dude.
Bradford has talent, just had cast and/or management around him. Let's see what he does this season with some receivers before we write him off
Tannehill IMO blows but he was just a rookie so let's wait a bit
Coincidence, IMO. Eventually a guy will come along that can play at the next level- if that guy hasn't already (RGIII.) Like how Penn State running backs were considered automatic busts until Larry Johnson came along.
B12 systems are QB friendly systems that don't prepare B12 QBs for the NFL at all. RGknee had success because Shanahan tailored the offense to fit him so he looks like the exception so far when the real difference is him having a coach who knew not to run a B12 QB in a pro-style offense.
JoeTait is right that the B12 will have a really talented QB come along at some point but the reasons described^ are why they haven't yet. No QB who's considered an elite NFL prospect wants to go to a conference with the reputation of making QBs completely unprepared for the NFL.
Tannehill is playing about as well as you could expect. He was overdrafted for sure, but he's about where he should be. Manziel should count himself lucky A&M got out of the Big 12 in time to save his career. Geno Smith has to hate WVU for getting into it.
Not a single playoff victory since the Big 12's inception. Pretty telling statistic, tbh
Goes back further than the Big 12's inception, tbh. How many Big 8 QB's made any kind of impact in the pros? I can only think of one off the top of my head- Vince Ferragamo- and he played more than three decades ago.
True, last QB from either the B12 or Big 8 to win a playoff game was Kordell Stewart
Kinda makes you wonder what Aikman's fate would've been had he stayed in the B8
bradford supposed to blow it up eventually
We look at the most successful Big12/Big 8 QB from a stat perspective.....Kansas State/Chargers...John Hadl. He is in the all time top 20 in TD's/Yards. Then there was Texas Longhorn Bobby Layne is in the Hall of Fame but totally different game back in the 50's, yep, the old SWC.
RGIII (if the guy can stay upright) should be the best BIG12 QB the NFL has seen. Why these guys are so limited as NFLers...??? More of a running back conference, tons of great backs.
As mentioned if Aikman had stayed at Oklahoma.....
The QB conference is out here on the west coast...the Pac12.

In the last decade, it's actually turned into a wide receiver making conference.
Which is really strange.
USC has never had a great NFL QB either.
A lot of them are overrated from playing in a conference with weak defense. Its like expecting T-Mac to dominate this year in the playoffs because he put up great numbers in China.
Cassell
Leinheart
Palmer
Booty
Barkley
I still say Palmer would have been a great NFL QB and briefly was before injuries.
There is not a college football conference that produces nfl starting quality Qbs consistently. It's a hard position to dominate in the NFL.
Pretty spot on. Especially with the gimmicky offenses being run in that conference. Makes it easy to put up big numbers on suspect defenses.
