Right now this decade we have seen the best of times for Alabama backs in the NFL. Some of those sports talk show guys try to paint the picture that Bama has a ton of great backs, nope! There was Shaun Alexander, before him was Bobby Humphrey who was ok. That's really about it before Ingram, Richardson and Lacy. They have a kid right now, what the s his name...duh.
The schools with a load of NFL backs from back in the day up to today....USC, Auburn, Oklahoma, Syracuse, UCLA, Texas...ton of backs. Alabama...nay!

Most of Alabama's famous players from back in the day are quarterbacks. Ken Stabler, Bart Starr, Joe Namath. Not a ton of famous running backs though. , Alabama's first Heisman winner was Mark Ingram. The first name you think of when talking about Alabama is a coach, not a player. Not sure who would say Alabama has had a ton of great backs.
The same guys who call RGIII a world class sprinter. Too many in the business who actually shouldn't be.
